Re: Lexicon Alpha random shut-down

Well, my Lexicon Alpha finally gave up the ghost and died. Replaced it with a M-Audio M-Track Duo, and the sound is much clearer. I also finally got rid of the last bit of hum or noise I was getting, that seems to be from a USB ground loop. I got a USB ground loop lifter adapter, and a 1/8" ada...

Re: Neural Amp Modeler LV2 plugin

Awesome, thanks! I am trying to avoid the wool blanket over the amp sound. I have had that before by layering to many cabinets, amp sims, and IRs.

Re: Neural Amp Modeler LV2 plugin

Should you use an IR in a Convolver for a speaker or cabinet along with the NAM of an amp or will it sound bad?

Editing Software for Digitech RP360/RP360XP

There is a program to interface with the RP360 written in Python here:
https://github.com/tschartz/pyrp360

I did have to install pyserial with pip and use sudo along with python3 instead of python command to get it running on my system.

Re: Get Iron Maiden's sound

I noticed I can get better results using specific IR's which model Iron Maiden's gear (like the one named IronMaidenPowerslave.flac in this pack: https://archive.org/details/BestpluginsIRPackComplete ) and using Guitarix's Convolver module to load it, but I was trying to recreate the sound more or ...

Re: Get Iron Maiden's sound

Hi! Thank you for the answer, how should I proceed with the analysis? For example, starting two instances of guitarix, then in one instance you add the convolver with the dedicated IR file, in the other you add a EQ. Then you start, for example the LSP Spectrum Analyser https://lsp-plug.in/?page=ma...

Re: Guitarix: Jimi Hedrix Pedal Board and Amp

Quick update: I finally took my time to use Carla, and I got the Digitech JHE pedal loaded in the MelEQ plugin that Brummer recommended (and created, btw). Turns out I was right on the money with my settings in Guitarix, which also gives me a ton of faith in Brummers program Guitarix. I also scored ...

Re: Guitarix: Jimi Hedrix Pedal Board and Amp

UPDATE:

What puts the icing on the cake is getting a Marshall 1960A IR, preferably with Celection G12M "Greenbacks":

Re: Neural Amp Modeler LV2 plugin

Well, I can wait until it comes out on Guitarix. Congratulations btw on making such an ground breaking awesome program, as well as making it open source also, that is just amazing. I do have Ardour installed, so I can use it from there, come to think of it.

Re: Guitarix: Jimi Hedrix Pedal Board and Amp

I finally figured out where the brightness was coming from, the GxPlexi plugin and the Drive knob on the amp. I removed the GxPlexi plugin, and turned down the Drive, and got the sound I wanted that matched the Digitech JHE pedal

Re: Guitarix: Jimi Hedrix Pedal Board and Amp

i have been playing around with some IRs, the Marshall 1960a sm57 is a good sound. I have found that the Plate Reverb plugin is lowering the volume and making the tone a little brighter, you might have to adjust the Plate Reverb settings. With just the Fuzz Faze, Vibe, and Wah, you can get pretty cl...
