Re: D

That’s what I got. Added some tracks, sidechain, eq, panning, and mastering. And as for me it sounds better however not the best. Thanks for you guys who told me what to do.

Hope it's not the last tune made with open source, but at the moment it looks like this.

Re: D

Of course, that can be done with OP's MusE too. And you must enable Jack Transport in both DAW and Hydrogen to sync them. Hydrogen as slave, DAW as master.

Seems that's how it works. Not the most obvious and convenient option. But thank you.

Re: Solo&Mute keys oddity

Oh thanks a lot, @Impostor , it worked! I didn't enable these checkboxes but they were enabled. Probably they were checked automatically with one of the updates. Frankly, I have no idea for what purpose it is needed. But OK, the question is closed. Thanks again.

I don't know, if you want respectable people you might have to find a different forum. OK, I'll say more modestly - beloved. I thoroughly enjoyed this, and didn't really feel like anything was missing. I guess if you want to do something more with it, you could introduce more varia...

D

After long break decided to remember how to make music in linux. Although I got some troubles with the new versions of my favorite MusE DAW, here is the tune. It's called "D". Basically it suits me but I feel like smth's wrong. But I can't figure out what exactly. Like it lacks something. ...

Solo&Mute keys oddity

In a latest appimage revisions I've run into such problem: when solo or mute button is pressed, it remains pressed only as long as the mouse button is pressed; as soon as you release the mouse button, the solo/mute button will also bounce. It is terribly uncomfortable. The only way to keep the solo/...

Re: MusE and Automation

There seems to be the same "freewheel" issue with Yoshimi.

Re: Help MusE - the identity thread

Love the idea of @Basslint as well. It is simple and obvious.

Definitely. "We spun out as a commercial entity (Muse Software, Inc) in 2019" is written on their "about us" section.

Re: Rainmaker (album)

Of course that works better for music on a CD, where they jump into one another seamlessly: with streaming, the bit of buffering at each change kinda breaks the experience. It's the same between Neon and Thunder, where the last spoken sentence should jump you directly in the next song, and that doe...

Re: Rainmaker (album)

Liked the whole album. It sounds pretty various and that is definitely good! Nice beginning, 4 songs in one breath, so different but all in style. But what's going with Raintro and Heartbeat? Why do they break like that at the end?! By the middle, it seemed to me, it sags a little, but it often happ...

I meant that it's not too bad when you got the second one cause we're living in a world where viewing depth does not exceed 10 seconds usually. 8)

Re: Desert Rain

I do use Hydrogen already to write the parts, with the difference that the drumkit is only used to pass MIDI signals to an external host for DrumGizmo (e.g., Carla or Ardour itself). I don't think it's complicated, and I'm comfortable with the workflow: I wasn't 100% happy with any other Hydrogen d...
