We need a basic help for Seq66

I've tried to use Seq66 , but I found really strange for noobies. I can write some notes and play it with Carla (when I load a synth). But I can't connect my midi keyboard and I don't understand the logic and the workflow of Seq66. Seq66 has a continuous development and is the powerful fork of Seq24...

Is possible restore the height of the tracks?

When I edit and work in Muse I resize the height of the tracks, but in one moment I need to restore the height and zoom of tracks. In Ardour you can restore height of tracks with click + ctrl in the edge or something that. In Muse I can't do that, I can restore the height with mouse but is arbitrary...

Re: Announcing the Unofficial Pro-Audio Arch Package Repository (Beta Phase)

I have two questions. Are packages from this repo free software? Or Do you think include all kind of software (with free or proprietary license)? "An actively maintained binary package repo for Arch Linux of free and open source pro-audio software." I was distracted. Well, that are...

Re: Announcing the Unofficial Pro-Audio Arch Package Repository (Beta Phase)

I look this new with enthusiasm. In OpenSUSE there is GeekoDAW and it supports Tumbleweed, so why not? Arch is a distro for advance users, that's true, but is a real possibility for pro audio work. It's necessary to told that AUR packages are not binaries, AUR package is info for to compile a packag...

They are a furious guitars, nice. I've found the crash cymbal some weird, they turn-off quickly.

Re: Geekos DAW (libre music-making repository for openSUSE)

@Basslint thanks for the information. I don't know the openSUSE community, that's all. Well, I will try Geekos DAW in this week, I've looked the packages of the Geeko repository and is a valuable effort. Thank you for all your work.

Peace

Re: Geekos DAW (libre music-making repository for openSUSE)

openSUSE does a good job at separating nonfree programs from free ones, as it has a separate OSS repo. Also, their policies for user contributions are pretty strict. Finally, we on GeekosDAW are pretty strict about only allowing FLOSS-licensed code (for branding graphics, we might make some excepti...

Difficult to describe it with words, a picture could be better:

Re: Geekos DAW (libre music-making repository for openSUSE)

From my own experience as a former Debian user, the only advantages Debian has over openSUSE are that it doesn't install proprietary firmware blobs by default (openSUSE sadly does, but they can be removed) and has better support for codecs out-of-the-box (openSUSE requires a 3rd party repo called P...

Re: Do you want to help MusE develop and grow?

Congratulation for this new endeavour. It's necessary bring together all MusE stuff, so a web site is a peremptory requirement. - GUI : I find weird have two tracks for virtual synths. - Name and Logo : Well, I like it MusE writing (with the combination of capital and lower case) but Muse score is a...

Re: MusE can't save plugin modifications through Carla?

OB-xd has been updated (v2.8 ) and now modifications are saved with VST3. But, again, MusE can't detect modifications over Carla, so you may modify some parameter of MusE and save changes.

Re: How to detect BPM in GNU/Linux with Vamp plugins?

There is this: https://www.beatsperminuteonline.com/ I've been using taptempo (terminal application) or the tap tempo button of Ardrour. But I'm searching a more accurate way. In case anyone wonders about taptempo , it is in the official repositories of Debian (maybe Ubuntu): sudo apt-get install t...

How to detect BPM in GNU/Linux with Vamp plugins?

Hi, I want to detect the BPM (Beats Per Minute) of some songs of my collection. I downloaded Sonic Visualiser and Vamp plugins for that (https://vamp-plugins.org/plugin-doc/qm-vamp-plugins.html). I can load the file (flac) and use a plugin called Tempo and Beat Tracker > Tempo . The plugin has some ...
