Any PI music apps that work with OSC + examples for setup?
I finally figured out how to 'build/make' rtosc and oscprompt so I could verify that OSC could work with ZynAddSubFX on my Pi. This was a major obstacle for me - if it's not out there ready-to-install using synaptic package manager, I'm usually stumped. I verified I could query Zyn with oscprompt an...

Re: MusE 4.0pre3 released
Yes - Surge looks good - however there is not an ARM version available for my Pi 4. I don't know how to compile one for my Pi. The Muse make instructions were great. If someone could help me out with how to make an ARM version of Surge, I'd love to try it with MusE! *I need step by step! It looks l...

Re: MusE 4.0pre3 released
My Pi DAW usage is constrained to MIDI and virtual instruments so far. My favorite virtual instrument I have installed on the PI is Helm. Helm works well as a standalone. As a virtual instrument in MusE 4.0pre3, I get occasional hangs and saturation of the CPU. https://tytel.org/helm/ If there is a...

Re: MusE 4.0pre3 released
Perfect! (I am new to make/compile but...) The instructions made sense and Muse 4 just launched on my Raspberry Pi 4! Good job! What performance do you get? It is useable on the RPi4? My Pi DAW usage is constrained to MIDI and virtual instruments so far. My favorite virtual instrument I have instal...

The updated website/screenshots look good! I was able to install muse using apt-get install on my Pi but it is the 3.x release. Do you have suggestions on how/if I can install the preview release on my Pi 4 (ARM Processor)? Thanks!

Re: Patchbox OS
I installed Patchbox OS on my Raspberry Pi 4 last week - it solved a variety of problems I was having with getting native audio ports to work, Jack errors, and general Pi performance. I was having trouble getting VNC resolutions to change and this issue vanished with Patchbox OS as well. I love it! ...

How to have multiple programs use the same MIDI interface?
I am using a Raspberry Pi 4 to record MIDI using an iConnectMidi1 USB interface. I can use the arecordmidi command to record MIDI input. However while I am doing this I cannot access the same interface by other programs. It is not available if I try to run a separate arecordmidi session or another s...
