Re: Patroneo - Easy Pattern Sequencer, Version 2.0.0 (Major Release)

@stanlea
You can run Patroneo (and other JACK applications) inside Carla enabling experimental features in it.

There is a video from FalkTx doing a nice demo at LAC 2018:
Carla Plugin Host - Feature overview and workflows

Skip to 1:25:00 to go to the "JACK application" part.

Re: One Last Ride

Every tune by @Rainmak3r is a guarantuee. :D
I really like the guitar and overall is a really good song.
The only thing i didn't like so so much is the timbre of strings in the first half of the song, they sound too much in contrast with the "real" sound of the guitar.
Said that: ottimo lavoro! 8)

Re: Debian based studio distro?

Hi J0J0 , I'm using Debian Sid + Kxstudio repositories, 6 years old installation, all is fine here. :D Using Mixxx, without problems, version is 2.2.4 but once 2.3 will be stable i think will hit the repos after a while. I'm using also Ardour but beware of Kxstudio version (5.12), it is older than D...

It is rewritten every time, but if you modify the file when is not running it should retain your changes. :wink:

@arifd,
i think you have to put it in

Code: Select all

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="usbcore.autosuspend=-1"
edit: Don't forget to run

Code: Select all

sudo update-grub
afterward.

If you care about extreme performances don't look at Pipewire, at least for now. :lol:

Re: Execute script after Cadence starts JACK? (SImilar to QjackCtl?)

I prefer to use Qjackctl over Cadence. Also, I prefer not to use ALSA midi, so i'm exporting ALSA ports with a2j and then stop it on shutdown. This is the command I put in Qjackctl settings after jack start: pactl load-module module-jack-sink channels=2; pactl load-module module-jack-source channels...

Re: Windows VST PlugIns for a use in GNU/Linux?

Given the amount of Linux native good FOSS synths we have nowadays (Zyn, Surge, Odin2, etc.) there is little need to run a Windows one. But just for experimentation sake this is my suggestion list: Tranzistow (Donationware, min $50) Linux version available Diodow - Linux version available Synth1 VK-...
