Re: How to export mp3 without ending silence?
I just saw this old post and I am going to comment on the solution I found, in case the same thing happens to someone and they come across it by chance. Indeed, with mp3 format it does not have a simple solution, because it is a problem of how the format manages time. There is a program for Windows ...

Re: I recently switched my OS to ubuntu studio, trouble with DAWs
Hello and welcome to Linux! I am not an expert, but I think that maybe I can give you some guidance on what you ask. If I'm wrong, I hope someone corrects me. About .dll and VST you are right. VST is a proprietary plugin format (I believe it belongs to Steinberg), native to Windows. The native Linux...

Re: SSS Strat to HSS upgrade suggestions.
I have used a Seymour Duncan Distortion SH-6 (full size humbucker) in a HSS pickguard in the past which sounded pretty cool for high gain sounds but it didn't match too well with the single coils on neck and middle. Timbrewise and output=volumewise. Hey! That's a really good point, and something to...

Re: SSS Strat to HSS upgrade suggestions.
Thank you both! I've been also looking some cheap wilkinson pickups in amazon and they look just great, but i was thinking on them for a cheap peavey that i would like to improve. With the fender we're talking about a slightly more expensive guitar (it was like 800€ at the moment) so i'm not shure i...

SSS Strat to HSS upgrade suggestions.
Hi everyone, I have an SSS Highway One (original pickups) that I've been thinking about making HSS by adding a single coil sized humbucker. I usually play it with a fairy loose bridge and I would like a little more sustain and a "crispy" sound on that position. I don't know a lot about pic...

Re: How to export mp3 without ending silence?
Hi. I am using Ardour mainly. But I have tried trimming the export in Audacity and exporting again re-creates the final silence. Thanks!

How to export mp3 without ending silence?
Hi everyone. I'm working on some songs for a homemade video game. The problem is that the export format must be mp3 and apparently there is something related to mp3 timing that makes it impossible to export an mp3 without adding a small piece of silence at the end. This creates a final pause that ma...

Re: Good melody
The first thing I do is think "what do I want it to sound like". It may be thinking about styles, sounds or specific song references. I try to identify what it is that gives that kind of sound I'm looking for. If my reference is a particular song, how they play with the rhythm of the lyric...

Re: Audio warping / stretching plugin
Hey, that's interesting. I don't know if that's what I'm looking for, because it seems to be focused on doing weird effects rather than making adjustments, like quantizing audio beats. Anyway, I'll definitely give it a try to see what it's capable of. Thank you!

Audio warping / stretching plugin
Hi, one thing I think Ardour lacks is a more direct way of warping and stretching audio clips. As long as I know, at this moment you only can do it with the Strech Mode tool, that i find a bit cumbersome for some tasks. So I was wondering if there's some plugin that could be usefull for that. I was ...

Re: New MusE logo
Here's the idea above with a couple of variations on the fonts. The size difference is subtle, but I think enough to capture the idea. The other versions are one more exaggerated and a test with the serif to mark the capital letters in another way.

Re: New MusE logo
I don't think any new users will know this, they will just see a logo with uppercase letters at each end. Actually that's what I saw hahaha. I agree with you that it is not the prettiest thing. Reminds me of the msn messenger nicknames... If it comes from Music Editor the program could have been ca...

Re: New MusE logo
Thank you both for your kind words! I'm glad you liked it! the only thing you could do is to spell MUSE as MusE, because in this case the capital M and E are already a distinctive mark of sort. I appreciate your comment. I think I could improve a little the font work in general, so I'll consider tha...

Re: New MusE logo
Hi all! I'm new to the forum. A few days ago I read about MusE in the comments of one of the Unfa videos, and decided to give it a try. I think it's a cool software with a great approach to modern music production. At the moment, my contributions to free software projects have been basically in the ...
