Thank you, pdechery. The bass in this tune is actually a preset in the new synth, Vital, called "Cinema Bells," by Billian. The Cinema Bell preset is an arp, so I just dialed into its tempo and built the tune around it.

When I exit Ardour and launch the program again later, for certain patches, Helm will forget the patch and play a completely different sound.
