Hello @oscillator it is going well... with C++ things have got serious with arrays, pointers and classes. In bash I am getting better dealing with files, strings and pipelines, and I dedicate some time to 3D images, with povray.

And the tracks were very fun to compose and record. I forget those basic things sometimes. I wish this was the case with my stuff. I just stay alone and use the mouse more than I would like. Especially when the creative composing and recording mostly finishes, thenstarts the mix and the doubt if so...

About audacity i can say that here in Greece, many people, amateur to semi pro, especially of older age, usually into folk music, with almost no experience in computers, use audacity as a daw.
