Calvo: A jalv based lv2 plugin rack for your terminal.
I made this little program, my first involving Linux and audio! It essentially allows you to quickly chain lv2 plugins, play with the parameters, and reorder on the fly, while maintaining a flow of connection from input to output.Right from the terminal! https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ajboni/calv...

Re: flosstudio - CC0-licensed database for FLOSS music-making programs
I wasn't talking about published apps, but scripts on a devs machine or in a CI setup, which would use a dedicated token for that task. Ah yes, well that's sounds quite doable. We could even just use the GitHub API. Haven't read the docs yet, but seems it needs some repo permissions https://docs.gi...

Re: flosstudio - CC0-licensed database for FLOSS music-making programs
It shouldn't be too hard to take the Flask endpoint, which accepts the form submission now, and build upon it to take submissions as a POST/PUT request with a Yaml body. You'd need some kind of token authentication for this and of course a way for developers to obtain such a token for their app. -I...

Re: flosstudio - CC0-licensed database for FLOSS music-making programs
instead we went with an accountless approach like Wikipedia's to make things easier for contributors. Here's another idea. Create a landing page for the form submission, which displays a link with a URL token. With this link the submitter can access the submission form again, update the entry (befo...

Re: Compiling the Airwindows plugins without the deprecated VST2 SDK
I found something interesting: There is a version of VST2 sdk available on wayback machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20181016150224/https://download.steinberg.net/sdk_downloads/vstsdk3610_11_06_2018_build_37.zip This one was shipped with VST3 sdk ... and has been archived by wayback machine. I f...

Re: Please testers needed: Debian Package to Optmize Linux Mint, Ubuntu and Debian Based OSs
Tested, everything worked well! So, I did not had the low latency kernel after all, so it was a good catch  Check the terminal replay: https://asciinema.org/a/348804.svg As a feedback, the script installed a an animated widget on the traybar, which imo is annoying. Maybe is better to have as op...

Re: Please testers needed: Debian Package to Optmize Linux Mint, Ubuntu and Debian Based OSs
Hi!
I'm on Mint 20. I've probably already done most (if not all) of those changes, but, if it helps I can run the deb on top of my current system.
I would had loved this package when I started messing with audio

Re: Any e-drummer here? looking for plugin recommendations
Hello, thanks for the hints. I will try some hydrogen kits, and also will give sfizz a try, according to this post was used with sf2 drums https://linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.php?p=111072#p111072 I'm currently testing and using it in a small Qt GUI with my electronic drum. Except for a limitation o...

Any e-drummer here? looking for plugin recommendations
Hi! I have a 'mute' electronic drum kit (with alesisIO module) and I'm trying to set up a good kit. Tried AvlDrums which are great IMO but it suffers from "machine-gun" effect when played live. I've used it on EzDrummer on my Windows days with positive results, ideally I'm looking for some...

Re: MOD Devices host and UI for Linux
Hi, no unfortunately I can't run docker without super user privileges. When I run the command "docker images" I get the following message: REPOSITORY TAG IMAGE ID CREATED SIZE hello-world Latest fce289e99eb9 18monthsago 1.84kB I don't think it will work with sudo... (not really sure) you ...

Re: MOD Devices host and UI for Linux
I tried to get it to work but even after installing docker successfully I get the error messages: " Her https://registry-1.docker.ii/v2/: dial TCP: lookup registry-1.docker.io: no such host ./run.sh: line 8: docker-compose: command not found." I followed all the instructions on the readme...
