Re: Sharp
Sounds great! I like that there's a lot of depths in the track (Tiefenstaffelung). Thanks @lilith ! Maybe a bit more bass? Yes, I was wondering. There are many bass layers, but they could use some adjustment in the mix or a touch of bass-boost on the main bus. I'll keep that in mind, when I reopen ...

Re: Mountain Foothills Hotel Vol. 2
Hey hey @nickture , thanks for sharing this EP. I did enjoy it. I love your pad textures, they way you layer pads and other soft chord elements. I seem to recognise a few Yoshimi/Zyn sounds. Cove Beach left me with a good 80s feeling. It's the guitar. The filter sweeps in Longing for return sound re...

Re: Marry Me!
Very 80s!
Where did you get that cheesy kind of sax in the chorus? What an apotheosis of 80s sounds, very Fairlight!

Re: Rebirth Re-doooz
Wow, this one somehow slipped by. I would have missed it. It doesn't sound much like true 808 and 909 and all the more modern for that. I like the brutal, uncompromising processing especially in the first "jam".

Re: Anna log Käse auf die Pizza
... If you would like to listen to my drum kit a little more fat and on top of the music, perhaps you should listen once to: The Space Traveller Thanks for the tip, I did. I got a better impression of your drums. Maybe it is the reverb (amount and style) that colours the sound in that particular wa...

Sharp
Hey hey, Sharp is a new melodic drum&bass track, inspired by the likes of Dimension and Wilkinson: https://youtu.be/qJoML_QdhKo I am yet unsure, whether some vocals should go with it or not. I'll wait it out. :) On the Linux side this track involved Yoshimi for pads, stabs, plucks and one bass layer...

Re: Anna log Käse auf die Pizza
Hi @TAERSH , interesting, almost psychedelic piece. I like the idea with the two semi-independent drum kits. Only, the few songs I have listened to from you in the past, always gave me the impression of having weak drum sounds. Which is why I didn't comment on a single one yet. I am very much fanati...

Re: After Humans Fall, Robots Dance
Hi again, a nice track. Even though your first track had a lot going for it this sounds like a leap again. Good automation and risers. How did you play in the guitar at the beginning? Is it synth, sample or real instrument. The end of the song is great, which falls in with your really nice and to th...

Re: Arecibo TXz
Ah, this could be your entry to #Jamuary 2021.
I was urged to do something similar with the RD-8, Behringer Neutron and MiniBrute 2s.
It's a good sound composition that you have there. I like the fine line between Berlin school, Acid and minimallist. Enough of each to yield a very pleasant song.

Re: Arecibo TXz
I don't know why I'm so drawn to TR-style drum machines and this overdriven filter sound. I enjoyed this one. It's a queer one to me. Out of interest: which instruments did you use (Hard- and/or software)?
Thanks for sharing!

Re: Power Girl
... And I found myself wanting to hear electric guitars on the track. And all you got was Clav. Though I am more and moire comfortable trying it out in the place of electric guitars. I'm so very glad I have it, since I can't play guitar to save my life and my favourite guitarist is sometimes diffic...

Re: Power Girl
Thanks both of you, FunkMuscle and Michael. It was a lot of fun to do. Michael, funnily enough, this time I had either Jennifer Rush or the vocalist from the Cutting Crew in my mind. :) We'll see. I have a promise of vocals, if I can finally deliver lyriics and a basic melody line. :) All in good ti...

Re: Mellow Life (my first track)
Welcome @WaterSlash ! An congratulations on a good "coming out"! :) Nice work on the complementary rhythms in the main sequence and the drums. Also I enjoyed the harmonies. I get the mellow life. All the time I was waiting for an additional arpeggio or sequence or other melodic rhythm sound to fill ...
