Re: [SOLVED] Fabla-1/2 ignore MIDI pad release?
I recently spoke to the dev of Fabla, Harry because I am interested in forking his project to create something a little more different and customizable than Fabla - he's still around, but so busy he can't continue development of the project. I'd move to DrumKV1, LSP Multisampler or just using Hydrog...

Re: Making drumgizmo kicks pack a punch
Thanks to some help from Pro on Unfa's discord, I figured it out. To start, you MUST have DrumGizmo add all 16 tracks. You'll need them. Turn the bleed to zero. You'll add reverb later. Add a compressor to all of the tracks. Go through one by one, using the compressor, adjust so no track peaks and y...

Making drumgizmo kicks pack a punch
Hey I need some tips on how to get the Croecelkit and Aasimonster kit to punch with the kicks. Walk me through the process like I’m a noob, cuz all the things I’ve tried only marginally work and screw up my mixes.

Re: Sitala v 1.0 is out
No new drum sampler for me since it's in a .deb file and I'm running Manjaro. Sad panda face.

Re: Dragonfly Reverb Bug
Which Dragonfly plugins do you use? Dragonfly Hall and Room primarily. I'm not the best at getting good plate reverb sounds. Have you ever experienced a blast of noise from one of the Dragonfly plugins? Until my upgrade to Ardour 6.5, no. Then suddenly, every single project with a purely wet verb w...

That’s cool that you feel that way. I feel the opposite after watching two different people spend 3 hours doing sound design with it.
It also made its way into the AUR repos so I believe it’s libre and gratis

The login is for the text-to-wavetable function because that uses an online server to generate the wave table.

Re: Switching from Windows/Mac to Linux (help needed)
Cannot speak to linux on Apple hardware. I would recommend AV linux as they have everything you might want out of the box with very little configuration. As far as your paid plugins, iLok can be a nightmare on linux so expect some work to get those to work and when you do, they may not work permanen...

Re: First Linux DAW
I use Manjaro KDE and love it for audio production. Every LV2 plugin I want is there, most current version - I pay for ardour and zrythm so I always get their precompiled binaries. Only lv2 plugins I have downloaded were EQ10Q (because to get it to work in ardour you need the version from the site) ...

Re: Guitarix: Tubes, Amp Impulses, overall usability
I tried your preset but have not added any IRs yet. What do you recommend? For IRs I recommend the Ownhammer paid IRs but there are tons of free ones out there if you don't want to pay for theirs. Signal chain wise, this is what I use. - tuner - noise gate - optional: preamp. I have added this sinc...

Re: Guitarix not working USB audio interface
Sounds like one of the following - your user that you login to the computer with is not a member of the audio group - the audio group does not have realtime preemptions Download RealTimeConfigQuickScan from your package manager and run it from the command line to see what all you're missing to set u...

Re: Guitarix: Tubes, Amp Impulses, overall usability
They show up in my lv2 list as "Gx{name}" - the Tonestack just shows up as Amplifier. Do you have Carla to try my preset? It should go a long way towards helping you answer this and get a usable tone. You'll need to load your own IRs in the signal chain (I recommend LSP Impulse Reverb for this since...

Re: Guitarix: Tubes, Amp Impulses, overall usability
Yes it's still in active development - there was a minor update earlier this year. You can easily replace all of those plugins with Guitarix. I recommend for what you're looking for, do not run the master tube section since that's going to add a ton of distortion, and choose your cabinet IR carefull...
