Re: Problems Installing 64bit Windows VST
I did a pacman -Syu yesternight (I'm on Arch Linux) and normally, I directly downgrade Wine back to 5.11 staging, as this was the last version that worked for me. Buuuut this time, I made a new .wine to see if problems got resolved in wine-staging 6.3-1 (which was my system-wide installation yesterd...

Re: linux Audio Assault Reamp Studio: demo and $40 intro price
Thank you for clarification, I learned a lot! I will still have a lot to learn, and it is harder to experiment when having no electric guitar. (Although I have heard of Hammond organs being amplified by a guitar amp :>) I still have problems with IKs sampletank showing me no cursor, so I didn't test...

Re: linux Audio Assault Reamp Studio: demo and $40 intro price
Is this something similar as Guitarix or Amplitube? (I dont have the latter as it is not for linux, but I might have been interested....) I'm a keys person, so sorry for my dumb question. I want to make metal stuff and I never understood why someone needed more than one amp (maybe someone can explai...

Re: Native Instruments software runs unstable since WINE 5.11
Downgrading to 5.21-staging also helped in my case (Arch Linux) with Kontakt as a plugin, however the Kontakt standalone application is not working as there is no audio output. It still works with 5.10-staging though. I wonder what got broken in the last 10+ releases...

Re: Some interesting black friday deals
I just bought that as well and after playing with it a bit I'm not massively impressed. Oh, I'm sorry you don't like it. I don't think it sounds the same as the samples from e.g. the kontakt factory library either, maybe because the samples are processed differently. It's just a small instrument pl...

Re: Some interesting black friday deals
Librewave by David Healy also has large discounts. There are different virtual instruments available crossplatform (yes, also linux). I've bought the Kazbek Winds and had no problems with installing and running (on arch linux). Still have to figure out the knobs and tweak the sound. https://librewav...

Re: Spitfire Audio LABS - Fails to load patches in LMMS
I am having the same issues here :( I tried it on a Windows VM and got it working there. However, on linux I tried: - carla bridges and linvst - relocating the patches folder - renaming the folder so it does not contain spaces - put the vst file in the same folder as the patches - fiddled with the c...

Re: $39 Miroslav Philharmonic II CE
Hi there, IK has another sale for the Miroslav Orchestra (for 39$ (~46€ incl. taxes)). Since I had problems: On startup, it complains that mkl_sequential.dll is missing. This is a flaw in the 2.0.6 installer (meaning that it also happens on a "real" windows). The workaround is to use the 2...

Re: Ugritone drum midi sale
37.5$ is definitely not bad price for such collection. That will clearly cover all my needs for drum beats, except anything EDM-like, but for such electronic dance music stuff even I can program my beats myself :-D I decided that you are right and also bought the kit :) thanks for testing it, and a...

Re: Tal Native Linux support
Feedback and bug reports are welcome! I tried TAL Sampler with a selfmade .sfz, my jack runs at 48 kHz. However, the tuning is off in TAL Sampler. Its samplerate is at 44100 Hz and for resampling, it only offers values <= 44100 Hz. The .sfz was made with polyphone and sounds just fine with sfizz. D...

Re: Looking for versatile sampler plugin
@tavasti: I just tried sfizz and liquidsfz, they are both neat little sfz players for out of the box sample playing. Thnx! But they don't offer simple effects like modifying the envelope. This probably can be done with correct .sfz programming. @lilith: I also tested TAL sampler and I really liked i...

Re: Looking for versatile sampler plugin
Hi tavasti, depends on what you think is "special", but I managed somehow with the help of this forum and "the internet". A short description on how I installed Kontakt (player?): First, you have to get Native Access to run. This was fine with wine and wine-staging. I had to set ...

Re: Looking for versatile sampler plugin
Hi guys! I was just testing a demo version of Bliss 1.8 (99$), as some people in this forum also use this sampler and recommended it. However, it feels a bit clumsy to use. In the editor, I cannot rightclick samples to show options or delete them. I cannot click "delete" on the keyboard to...
