Re: Native Access 2 now works with WINE
On my system, running Ubuntu with wine-staging-9.0-rc2, I am able to get Native Access running following this instructions but if I start the NTKDaemon manually, it terminates after running around 10 seconds. If I run the installer of the NTK daemon, it is started and remains running. I don't know w...

Massive X - is there any solution to make the preset list work in the meantime?
The recent versions of Massive X work with WINE but the preset list remains empty. This issue is known since a couple of years now. The reason is that there is a preset-scan routine which opens all preset files to gather some information to create a SQLITE database file (content.db) containing the p...

Re: How to configure WINE to run the Sonokinetic manager?
SOLVED:
You need explicitly to disable your GPU using this WINE parameter:
Code: Select all
wine Sonokinetic%20Manager.exe --disable-gpu
Then you are able to login to download your Kontakt Libraries.

Re: How to configure WINE to run the Sonokinetic manager?
The Sonokinetic Manager is a standalone application which manages downloads and license keys; not a VST plugin. Therefore, Yabridge or anything similar is not being involved when running.

Re: Kontakt 7 Full - black screen issue
To fix the black screen issue, run winetricks, and play around with the renderer and shader backend settings there! I had to set GL and GLSL, but the right settings depend on your video card and the used video driver. On my system, Kontakt opens now but there are still a few minor UI bugs. Some font...

How to configure WINE to run the Sonokinetic manager?
Hello, I am using some Kontakt Player instruments by Sonokinetic under Linux. While the instruments itself just need a working installation of the Kontakt Player, you need the Sonokinetic manager to download them. This download manager starts when using the most recent version of WINE staging but ju...

Re: Native Instruments software runs unstable since WINE 5.11
Yes... As written, I use wine-staging from the official WINE reposities. Yesterday, I made a dist-upgrade and WINE was updated to 5.17 with the result that the software became unstable like in 5.11. After re-installing 5.10 manually over the 5.17 packages, the software was quite stable again. As a t...

Native Instruments software runs unstable since WINE 5.11
Hello, I am using NI Komplete with WINE-staging, linvstconvert and Bitwig Studio on my Linux setup. Everything ran perfect until WINE was updated to version 5.11. With the more recent versions of WINE, the (converted) VST plugins are usable for a while (bethween 5 and 30 minutes) until the audio eng...

Re: RT-compatible video card
Like I said: For both chip manufacturers: NVidia and AMD there exist Closed-Source 3RD party drivers as well as open source drivers. The open source drivers also support hardware-accelerating technologies like openGL or VDPAU, multiscreen-setups and so on but are less comfortable to configure. As lo...

Re: RT-compatible video card
The market is dominated by graphic cards with NVidia and AMD chipsets. Almost all manufacturers of graphic cards use the chipsets by them. The only other one I know is Matrox . But regarding NVidia and AMD, there are 3rd party drivers as well as community-driven Open Source drivers. While the origin...

working on a solution to make NI Komplete Kontrol MK2 controllers usable with Linux
Hello, several months ago, I started a project to make the Komplete Kontrol MK2 controllers by Native Instruments usable on Linux, which is now finally hosted on Github. Link https://raw.githubusercontent.com/GoaSkin/qKontrol/master/images/lcd.png With the software, you may * split the keyboard in v...

only 16 MIDI devices are available when running Windows software via WINE
Hello, I am using an iConnectivity mio10 MIDI interfaces which offers 16 MIDI inputs and outputs. Furthermore, my audio interface and my NI Komplete Kontrol S61 MK2 also provide MIDI ports. When I am running software instruments made for Windows via WINE, there are always only 16 MIDI ports listed. ...
