I managed to install geoffrey's kernel (https://github.com/geoffreybennett/scarlett-gen2/releases/tag/v5.4rc6s10) and was happily pleased to see alsamixer and qasmixer giving me control of an 18i20 2nd gen. I am having one issue though, and it may just be a misunderstanding of how this driver works ...
