Re: New to MIDI and Linux. I'm Dying! :(
To get some good help, I think you should decide what Audio-MIDI Sequencer to use. Reaper is very different to LMMS is very differerent to Ardour is very different to Qtractor etc.

Re: Windows VST PlugIns for a use in GNU/Linux?
Meanwhile I have downloaded 180+ Windows VST plugins. Some didn't fit my needs or causing trouble, so I removed some again. By now I have 150 active and useful. Alieno is one of them and I like it. Now I have lots of great sounds in addition to the great GNU/Linux plugins/sounds to use. Already comp...

Re: Automatic tempo detection/beat matching for midi?
@PieterPenninckx So I was wondering if there is software that takes a midi file and produces a midi file that sounds the same as the original, but has the tempo in the midi file changed so that the beats align with the note starts. The feature you are referring to is called "MIDI quantization": htt...

Re: Marry Me!
Actually it's two saxophone sounds taken from a Yamaha SY22 Synthesizer and a Yamaha TG55 Sound Module. Both sounds playing two different octaves. So, it's two saxophone tracks in the song playing four saxophones. I recorded almost all sounds from both of the synths and the cards I still have availa...

Re: Drumkit Licensing
tavasti Does it have multiple velocity layers? No, it doesn't. I made this from the samples used to create the Hydrogen drum kit first. Hydrogen can't have multiple layers on a single key of the keyboard. At least I didn't know how at times, when I created the Hydrogen drum kit. Nowadays I'm using ...

Re: Anna log Käse auf die Pizza
Hi, jeanette_c ...impression of having weak drum sounds. I just don't like all that new fat drum sounds. Usually I prefer a drum sound being as near to the original drum kit as possible. The drum sounds which I'm using in all my songs are recorded by myself in 2009, taken from my huge Sonor Force 30...

Re: Drumkit Licensing
@tavasti
You could use the .sf2 sound file I made from the huge Sonor 3007 drum kit.
I recorded all those samples from my drum kit and it's license is the "What the Fuck License", as I don't care about if anyone is using it in his/her songs or creating any other work based on that samples etc.pp.

Re: Drumkit Licensing
Yes, then it seems you have to use something else for your drums as long as you can't give appropriate credit.
Not good! I don't like those creative commons licenses very much.

Is there a need for the used drum samples to add credits/attribution?

Re: Balance of Terror / Cosmic Glue
Thanks. :) The Snare Drum is a recorded sample made from a 12 inch Sonor High Class Snare Drum (appr. 600 €) layered by a self made 14 inch Snare Drum created from a cheap Magnum 14 inch Tom Tom. I made a Hydrogen Drum Kit plus a .sf2 sound file from this huge Sonor Force 3007 Drum Kit with more tha...
