Re: Ultralite AVB
Thanks fohdeesha , it's not you who got a bit off-topic here, it was *us* who got too excited with your wonderful hacking!! Although I have sold my device, I still have some hope this AVB line will be working on Linux. Not that I expect anything from the company, but I do expect good news from this ...

Re: Ultralite AVB
Hey all - I managed to get root on the Ultralite AVB (the embedded linux OS that runs on it). I don't know if it could be of any use to you guys (probably not), but perhaps it could at least be of some assistance during debug (I certainly saw some messages regarding USB events in the root telnet co...

Re: Anyone using Zoom LiveTrak L-12
Thanks Loki Harfagr and others on this thread. I've finally decided to get a Zoom F6 field recorder and use it as my audio interface. So far it's working perfectly. After a year of Motu annoyances I'm really impressed by the fact that I'm now using something which works as it should :-) All USB func...

Re: Anyone using Zoom LiveTrak L-12
Just to be clear about my experience with Focusrite (and avoid being unfair!): My 2nd Gen 18i20 worked fine, say much better than the Motu, however making the mixer work was quite painful. I remember I had to use a third party tool I found on github, but still, at the time it was quite bugged and th...

Re: Ultralite AVB
5.11.x-zen without drumfix' patches and without setting irq-priority gives some hours of playback without distortion, but channel hopping occurs quite soon after starting jack. Patching modulo8 even helps with 4 outputs, but isn't ideal of course. Old story, sometimes it takes forever without break...

Re: Ultralite AVB
Good news: linux 5.12.0-rc4 + @Drumfix's patch playing for about 24h with no interrupts using jack. MOTU AVB Ultralite ESS chips. Bad news: same issues back after 36h running. Happened when I added some charge to the system I/O. Certainly more stable than older kernel versions, yet far from accepta...

Re: Ultralite AVB
Update on a MOTU Ultralite AVB ESS with kernel 5.12.0-rc4 (no patches): using both jack and pulseaudio, it stops playing after a few minutes or a few hours, randomly. No good, sorry to say that
Will try this kernel version with with drumfix patch and report soon.

Re: Anyone using Zoom LiveTrak L-12
Thanks @uulbri for the answer. I may be able to give this Zoom a shot, after some frustration with Focusrite and MOTU on my Debian system :\

I'm trying to found them, so far I see this review from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/reviews/B074G25D6Y/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_viewpnt_rgt?filterByStar=critical&pageNumber=1 And also this in their product description: * Operation is not guaranteed with CPUs from Atom, Celeron or Pentium series ...

Re: Anyone using Zoom LiveTrak L-12
Hi, I'm considering this device for my linux box, however I've seen some reviews saying it gives serious issues with AMD Ryzen support. Could anyone confirm if that's true nowadays? Thanks!

Re: Ultralite AVB
Thanks wrl for all your work on this. I'd be happy to give some feedback on my Ultralite AVB with new ESS chip. I applied your patch to 5.11rc1 and everything was fine with the building. My problem now is unrelated to the audio stack, but I'll ask for help here anyway: the 5.11 doesn't boot on my en...

Re: Ultralite AVB
It seems to be something related to IO/IRQ. I've been using an Ultralite AVB with ESS chip without any issues for months now (Drumfix's driver). However, once I perform a high load IO task, say using dd to clone an image to the hard drive, the device will immediately turn to the distortion/channel s...

Re: Ultralite AVB
Follow-up AVB Ultralite ESS with Drumfix's ua101.c module: It's been two days running this device and trying to isolate what's causing the issues. After exploring various tweak combinations I can summarize as follows: 1. Any kernel 5.8.X with default options + Drumfix's module: a few seconds of soun...
