Re: Helm LV2 & Ardour
0.9.0 should be the latest version, yes. Helm hasn't been updated in many years, since Matt's been, understandably, busy with his new synth...

Re: Helm LV2 & Ardour
Yeah, I recall having similar issues a couple years back. Pretty sure I wrote about it somewhere too (maybe Ardour's forum), but never sorted it out. I never got into actively using Ardour, and rarely use Helm, so I can't really offer any advice, sorry.

Re: Staticly linked arpeggiator plugin?
I suspect this is somehow related to the wine bridging. I briefly tried B.SEQuencer as well. I mainly use Reaper, which doesn't support LV2, so I loaded it up in Carla, and I was hearing similar slightly erratic behaviour. Out of curiosity, I started up Ardour and tried comparing a directly loaded B...

Re: Staticly linked arpeggiator plugin?
So, I was trying out BlueARP, and I really like its features, but I'm noticing that the rhythm seems just slightly erratic. I'm pretty sure I don't have any randomization features turned on. Anyone else noticed issues with this? I also tried the demo of Phrasebox for comparison, and that seems to so...

Re: odin2
So I've been following updates to this, and the dev's been doing a lot of fixes and adding new features, like unison and most recently an arpeggiator/step sequencer section. Which is all pretty neat, and certainly makes this even more appealing. The unison, however, seems to eat up a lot of CPU, whe...

Re: Making own IR files for guitar amps?
Cool, thanks! I grabbed a copy of Audio Assault's Sigma when it was free a while back, and it comes with a number of built in IRs, but I was curious about what else is out there. Should also have fairly easy access to guitarix, of course.

Re: Making own IR files for guitar amps?
Semi-related to this, does anyone know of any particularly good free guitar cabinet IR files to check out, if such things exist? I've been meaning to get back to playing a bit of guitar after a long break, and I'd probably want to try out some amp sims... I have zero experience with IR stuff, so no ...

Re: odin2
Definitely interesting, especially for a free synth!
The download section says VST3, but I *think* the Linux version is actually VST2? Or at least Reaper is not reporting it as VST3...

I think that topic is probably supposed to say 1.1.17.

Re: Audio assault plugins @ linux
It looks like Sigma (or Si6ma or whatever the correct spelling is) is only free until Monday. So if that's something that interests folks, better get on that soon.

Re: Tal Native Linux support
Unfortunately the first run creates a "ToguAudioLine" directory in your /home/<user> :D instead of a wonderful, magnificent, hidden /home/<user>/.ToguAudioLine Oh for [bleep]'s sake... I was just recently complaining about that exact same issue in a thread about Audio Damage plugins... I really wis...

Re: Tal Native Linux support
Of course a bunch of the free plugins have already been available for Linux for a long time (at Disthro's site). But it's cool that the rest are getting Linux ports too, now.

Re: Upgrades
I *think* that's just the theme getting a facelift, so the 'blurry' icons are cached images from the old version of the theme, and a refresh (or waiting long enough) fetches the new version. Could be. I saw the glitch several times yesterday, but haven't so far seen it since booting up my computer ...

Re: Upgrades
For some reason the icons sometimes look blurry. Reloading generally fixes it. I'll attach screenshots below. (For reference, I'm viewing on Firefox ESR, on Debian Testing.)

Re: audio damage
I briefly tested RoughRider in Reaper, and it seemed to work fine. However, now I have an 'Audio Damage' directory in my home directory that I did not create. I really hate it when *nix software does that, creating unnecessary clutter! (And in my experience it's usually only ports made my people not...
