Re: Notation Transpose + shortcuts

1. The score editor is quite rudimentary and has no support for dynamic transposing. I suppose that's what you mean: You want to enter the notes in the natural tuning of the instrument (e.g. sax, trumpet, clarinet in B, French horn in F etc.) but the playback of course has to be in C (concert pitch)...

Re: MusE3: A handful of newbie frustrations

I just wanted to note for reference that I experienced this problem many times, too.
I don't use KDE but Mint 19.3 with Cinnamon (always current master).

For my configuration I solved it by the GUI tweak "Open MDI subwindows maximized", which I've implemented recently.

Re: MusE 3.1pre4

One question in this context:

Is it possible to customize the colors in the effect rack from external style sheet?
I tried but did not succeed.

Re: [For coders / stylesheet authors] Introducing the Snooper

Very useful! It's a little lost in the settings behind the current style sheet, I would almost say it deserved a more prominent place, e.g. in the help menu. Actually it's a generic tool, useful for debugging, learning the code etc., not only for style sheet design. By the way: What is the menu entr...

Re: MusE 3.1pre3

Should not the MusE web be updated with the info about the new pre-release?

Re: [New] Instrument can now be changed on a Synth Track

No arrows there.
However, I've just noticed that what I wrote above was not clear enough:
I get a huge menu in several columns over the whole screen, and when there are still too many entries, it gets off the screen on the right.
But never mind, I still like this option ;-).

Re: [New] Instrument can now be changed on a Synth Track

BTW Don't like the 'More..." sub-menus concept ? See Settings > Global Settings > GUI behaviour > Scrollable submenus. I was shocked when Andrew added that. "What the... How the... did he do that?". Because that feature can only be enabled with a stylesheet setting, there does not seem to be an API...

Tim E. Real wrote:Instrument popup menu is redesigned now.
Now includes the convenient 'Edit instrument...' action.
Really nice, thanks.

Re: [New] Instrument can now be changed on a Synth Track

A very nice feature, gives great flexibility. A small detail: I can change the instrument in the mixer strip easily to my self-defined one. Then, let's say I want to change it back to the "original". I could not find it at first, then I saw it at the end of the list, hidden in the submenu. Would it ...

Re: Tooltips for note names in piano roll and drum editor

Yes, exactly, it's the vertical zoom. Ctrl+MouseWheel had been without function when over the Piano keys, so I thought it would be a good idea to use it for this purpose. Moving the functionality to view.cpp sounds a little more complicated. I will have a look when I have time, if you think it neces...

Range selection for tracks (Shift-Click)

I implemented the range selection for tracks. Obviously I was not the only one who missed it ;-).
Pull request will be provided.
