Re: Velocity of notes created in the drum editor?

I lost it when I compiled the (your! :) ) new version of Muse to try out the select-copy, but I will re-create it. How did you lose it? This should not happen. If I see it right, we are talking about internal colour settings (not stylesheets). The colours are saved in your user-specific MusE-seq.cf...

Re: Velocity of notes created in the drum editor?

So a stand alone tutorial in PDF format is acceptable? Or is putting it in the wiki better? I want to give something back to MusE. :) Can't you edit the wiki directly? According to our repo settings (and the github docu), every user with a github account should be able to edit the wiki. If it does ...

Re: Velocity of notes created in the drum editor?

Click it to show only the velocity graph of the selected note in the piano - the current 'red' selected piano note. Oops, sorry that should say the current 'yellow' note. Is the yellow key used for other things as well? If not, shouldn't it be better hidden in the All-note mode? I must confess I wa...

Re: MuSE crash if Linuxsampler loads SFZ?

Just tested with Mint 19.3 (which is based on ubuntu 18.04).
No crash here, everything working as expected (SFZ Salamander piano).

MusE: Current master
LinuxSampler: 2.1.1 (from kxstudio)
Everything else from the distro (qsampler, liblilv, liblscp...).

Transport window always on top

In case you did not like this behaviour - transport window always staying on top of all other windows (not only MusE's) - there is now an option to switch it off in Global settings -> GUI tweaks (current master).

Re: Notation Transpose + shortcuts

1. The score editor is quite rudimentary and has no support for dynamic transposing. I suppose that's what you mean: You want to enter the notes in the natural tuning of the instrument (e.g. sax, trumpet, clarinet in B, French horn in F etc.) but the playback of course has to be in C (concert pitch)...

Re: MusE3: A handful of newbie frustrations

I just wanted to note for reference that I experienced this problem many times, too.
I don't use KDE but Mint 19.3 with Cinnamon (always current master).

For my configuration I solved it by the GUI tweak "Open MDI subwindows maximized", which I've implemented recently.

Re: MusE 3.1pre4

One question in this context:

Is it possible to customize the colors in the effect rack from external style sheet?
I tried but did not succeed.

Re: [For coders / stylesheet authors] Introducing the Snooper

Very useful! It's a little lost in the settings behind the current style sheet, I would almost say it deserved a more prominent place, e.g. in the help menu. Actually it's a generic tool, useful for debugging, learning the code etc., not only for style sheet design. By the way: What is the menu entr...

Should not the MusE web be updated with the info about the new pre-release?

Re: [New] Instrument can now be changed on a Synth Track

No arrows there.
However, I've just noticed that what I wrote above was not clear enough:
I get a huge menu in several columns over the whole screen, and when there are still too many entries, it gets off the screen on the right.
But never mind, I still like this option ;-).

Re: [New] Instrument can now be changed on a Synth Track

BTW Don't like the 'More..." sub-menus concept ? See Settings > Global Settings > GUI behaviour > Scrollable submenus. I was shocked when Andrew added that. "What the... How the... did he do that?". Because that feature can only be enabled with a stylesheet setting, there does not seem to be an API...
