Re: Geonkick - logarithmic canvas

I don't quite understand the need for this, TBH. AFAICS, envelopes in Geonkick can have as many points as you like. By inserting enough points it should be possible to approximate a logarithmic or exponential curve close enough, IMHO. But it's open source, so if someone wants to scratch that itch, ...

Geonkick - logarithmic canvas

Hi! The developer of Geonkick (https://geonkick.org/) seems to have started programming again on his plugin, which is great and all, but.. unfortunately he is not the slightest interested in trying to implement a feature that Sonic Academy's Kick2 has which makes the plugin much better. I've spend a...

Re: Arturia MicroFreak - Midi Control Center problems

Yeah it's a big one. That's really interesting, I didn't spot that when I tried it. Do you have lib32-libusb installed? I don't so I'm sure the log probably said the same thing for me. I just had to try it right away, but unfortunately it didn't change much. checking for libusb_interrupt_event_hand...

Anyone tried it in a VM with mint (if mint does actually work)?

I tried with a live-boot ISO from linux mint, and it did connect to my MicroFreak.
Try yourselv, just download the iso, put it on a stick, boot up mint, apt update and apt install wine and voila

Not sure what else to try :( Okeeeey, after compiling wine for about 2-3 weeks (gawd it took some tim...

Re: Arturia MicroFreak - Midi Control Center problems

The librarian for Korg opsix only works when I disable USB networking in a file in /etc/modprobe.d: blacklist rndis_wlan blacklist rndis_host blacklist usbnet Thank you very much for the suggestion! ..unfortunately it didn't help much here. ..if I did it correctly $ sudo vim /etc/modprobe.d/usb-tes...

Re: Arturia MicroFreak - Midi Control Center problems

Human Interface Device, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB_human_interface_device_class But the Arturia devices are not HID devices, they're audio devices. No, they make midi devices and also their audio devices talk midi. I just compiled the git package and it picked up that I have libusb insta...

Re: Arturia MicroFreak - Midi Control Center problems

sysrqer Interesting find! Is there any way to know what options the arch package of wine/wine-staging uses at compile time? Yes I believe there is. If I'm not wrong you can go here https://archlinux.org/packages/multilib/x86_64/wine/ ..then press "Source Files" in the upper right corner ....

Mint. Their arch equivalents supposedly are: alsa-lib alsa-plugins lib32-alsa-plugins lib32-alsa-lib Thank you for posting the details man. I checked and I actually got all those installed. Unfortunately, the Midi Control Center software still just hangs when talking to the MicroFreak hw. $ pacman ...

Re: Arturia MicroFreak - Midi Control Center problems

Maybe you need some of these? I needed them for midi in Wine for Rebirth: libasound2 libasound2:i386 libasound2-plugins libasound2-plugins:i386 What distro are you on? I'm guessing I have these installed as I have all standard Alsa stuff installed, but I'm not sure, couldn't find out which package ...

[FIXED] Did anyone get MIDI-OX working with wine? (Arch/EndeavourOS)

EDIT 2 https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Wine#Sound This page hinted at installing 2 packages and then it worked yay -S lib32-pipewire lib32-libpulse Problem solved! EDIT 1 I seemed to remember that this used to work with my old distro Linux Mint, so I downloaded it, bootet from a stick and installe...

Further more it doesn't show up in Bitwig or Carla as wel...

Re: linuxdaw.org - listing quality audio software for linux

I asked about linuxdaw.org sources :) https://codeberg.org/fractalf/linuxdaw.org Hehe, I totally forgot about that. Let's just make it MIT, I don't really care, this is just for fun project. If you wanna play with the source, be my guest, and if you wonder about something, just open an issue :) htt...
