Thanks and wow! Never noticed this property tab. Excellent.
Searching the docu for "delay" did not show anything useful. So it is rather a little doc bug.

Delay parameter for MIDI track?

Hi, I searched the menus and the documentation for a very useful feature: A delay parameter (positive or negative) affecting all events send from a MIDI track. This is very useful if there is a lag in the output path, e.g., with the Linux sampler or some other soft synth. Is there such a feature alr...

Re: Can't open projects from 3.x on 4.1 ... crash!

Are you able to create a new project and add your plugins? You may be able to see if a particular LV2 plugin is causing the crashs that way. I tried a very stupid project with Calf Fluidsynth (piano, bass) and a Calf Monosynth ... no crash. The crashing project from 3.x is also not that complex: - 1...

Re: Can't open projects from 3.x on 4.1 ... crash!

First I would recommend deleting the settings. Rename the ~/.config/MusE folder and try again. Done. No change as expected, because I reinstalled Linux from scratch. Next, have you installed all dependencies? https://github.com/muse-sequencer/muse/blob/master/src/README Yep. Exactly as shown in REA...

Re: Can't open projects from 3.x on 4.1 ... crash!

EVEN WORSE ... Muse 4.1 compiled on Xubuntu 4.1 crashes so frequently, it is perfectly useless! Any click to some widget may result in a crash. This was not the case with 3.x. This is not a DAW anymore; this is an obscene crash orgy! I'm aware that this may result from inconsistent plugins, but this...

Can't open projects from 3.x on 4.1 ... crash!

Hi, after a long time, I'm back with MuSE. I installed Xubuntu 22.04 and compiled MuSE 4.1 form GIT HEAD. Compiles like a charm and starts without problems using jackd. But MuSE crashes for nearly every project I created with 3.x, except for trivial ones with MIDI-only.   Is there an...

Hello again ... Back after 3.x times!

Just update dto Xubuntu 22.04 after a longf perio of inacivity. In 3.x times, i annoyed the developers with llllooooza bug reports. let's see how this evolves with 4.x... Compiled 4.1.0 from GIT HEAD. Compiled like a charm... Well, 4.1 crashes for nearly every project I made with 3.x when opening th...

Re: Unubtu20.04 /linux-image-5.x-lowlatency, useful or not?

Yes, It would be extremely helpful if the MusE docu would provide up-to-date information about the necessary Linux system tweaks. I must admit that this is a challenging issue, mostly because of the variety of different Linux systems. The script https://github.com/raboof/realtimeconfigquickscan is e...

Re: Unubtu20.04 /linux-image-5.x-lowlatency, useful or not?

... The Ubuntu Studio repository has a useful package (ubuntustudio-performance-tweaks) for this. I still had xruns after doing everything and it turned out that the wlan card was causing it. Thanks for the info; I'll try this Perl script, just for curiosity. The web is full of relaltime voodoo stu...

Second Calf-Fluidsynt-LV2 instance looses presets

Im using two Calf-Fluidsynt-LV2 instances to provide different effects. With the first instance, everything is fine. The presets are stored and reloaded. The second instance falls back to all channels with preset "Grand Piano". This is a show stopper. Is MusE unable to handle two instances...

Re: how to bounce midi to audio?

Thanx for the info, once again I did something wrong. Muted MIDI track perhaps? This would be too stupid. Wasn't there the message "must select at least one wave track"?
I will try again.

Re: how to bounce midi to audio?

I tried to bounce a soft synth to a track and this does not work! Only wave tracks can be bounced to a wave track. To "bounce" a part of a synth track to a wave track, you have to - create the wave track - set its audio input to the synth's output - put track in record mode - playback the ...

Re: Unubtu20.04 /linux-image-5.x-lowlatency, useful or not?

Humm, I know exactly what the definition of "real time" is; this is my job btw. I was rather asking if someone actually reduced the XRUNs with the lowlatency kernel. PC-Desktop-Linux will never ever become a true realtime system! But: IN THE MEANTIME I MANAGED TO GET RID OF ANY XRUN! NO XR...

Re: MIDI questions: Local off? Auto-monitor selected MIDI track?

Hi and thanx for the explanations. 1) Menu entry "Local off": I will have to test this some more. I guess this is what I should use to silence my HW-synths. 2) Auto-monitor MIDI track: There are other important things to do and this feature is not that important. Not creating a feature req...
