Re: LV2 wiki on GH - wanted: articles, guides, tools for devs

Hi milk, thanks for your nice work on this wiki. I suggest to move the amplifiers (badamp, BAmp, simple-amp) to examples as they demonstrate the principle of lv2 and the respective GUIs.

Re: [Proposal] LV2 for VST2 developers guide

I think DPF is very good (and so is Dplug), however using straight LV2 can be very useful. LVTK offers a nice C++ wrapper around LV2. There are strong arguments to use native C for LV2 programming. At least for the DSP part. If you need realtime, you must not use almost everything that makes the di...

Re: Percussion Synthesizer

If the user wants to load different plugins that were based on different versions of Qt, than the host needs to load in its address space two different shared Qt libraries which in the most of the cases will cause the host/DAW to crash due to various reasons.... [/quote] I fully agree with iurie. I...

Re: LV2: BShapr (beat/envelope shaper) / BSlizr (slicer)

https://github.com/sjaehn/BShapr - "Beat / envelope shaper LV2 plugin" Both available in the AUR. Hi milk, thank you for mentioning B.Shapr here and the Arch User Repository. Maybe it was a bit early at that time. But now programming progressed further. Also by the aid of the user comment...

Re: LV2: BSEQuencer

Late answer, sorry. After more testing : I can indeed see the grid, but the contrast is a bit low in the background, maybe my laptop screen. As for the synced transport, I had success by wiring a midi input to the sequencer, and then sending a midi note. But in Carla, just hitting the play button j...

Re: LV2: BSEQuencer

I tried it, and it could really rock, because the controls provided are very fun. But I couldn't sync transport from host (tried Carla, Qtractor, Ardour), and the gui don't show the grid on my screen. Thank you for the information. As I'm the developer, I'm interested in what happened. You don't se...

Re: LV2: BShapr (beat/envelope shaper) / BSlizr (slicer)

It could be the issue we ran into in Dplug where Ardour/Mixbus provided the identical pointers for the input and output buffers. Here is the work around that p0nce did. He used scratch buffers. https://github.com/AuburnSounds/Dplug/blob/master/lv2/dplug/lv2/lv2client.d#L333 I should have red linuxm...
