Re: Collaborative sound collage

Oooh, I like this idea, count me in. Great, you're counted ;) I'm thinking of contributing some original outdoor "field recordings", and maybe some improv on acoustic instruments. Should we agree on a key to play in, it just submit anything whatsoever? I think anything goes for starters. ...

Collaborative sound collage

I don't think i'm ready for full scale collaboration (though i'd like to try that some day as well), so i thought it might be a fun idea to start with "sound collage" kind of project. The idea is simple: whoever wants to join would send me some musical or unmusical recordings and i will th...

Re: Episodes (new album)

I am a big fan of baroque classical, with its harmonic consistency, so all of these key changes and unexpected chord transitions on your album are a little jarring to my ear. And there i thought i was holding back on this album :) When listening i'm not sure i have strong preferences (depends on th...

Re: Episodes (new album)

I had great difficulty getting to your work and in the end was only able to play one track, after which my browser reported the site was using a 'no longer supported technology'. This is unfortunate as I quite liked the one I heard :( Sorry to hear that. I think i can come up with a quick solution ...

Re: "Almost a capella" - another minimal noise/field recordings experiment

Is that a mouth harp in "Varganing?" Yeah. "Vargan" is one of its many names. I would say that my favorite thing about this album is that is sounds like it was fun to make. :) So I hope it was! I think i mentioned elsewhere that it was probably more fun to make than to listen, s...

"Almost a capella" - another minimal noise/field recordings experiment

A few days ago i've made another experiment; initial goal was to record an album in under a day, but then it took me a few days more to finish. Arrangements are mostly more minimal than in my previous noise albums, and while recording variety may still make it interesting to listen, it's perhaps les...

Episodes (new album)

Hi all, I have recently finished a new album "Episodes". It's made in ardour, using various samples, synth and effects and contains (midi-)instrumental music, which flavour i can't adequately describe (though some tracks certainly have neoclassical leanings). Some of the tracks were lying ...

Not sure why?.. I'm not really looking for more platforms, especially those that interfere with downloads.

Re: Hello and free music for all

I don't think that disqualifies as a host of free music. If it would be one-click affair, i might've still been using it. But i remember the process being very tedious: upload, then fill out the tags (which are already presented in my files), then search for enough genres to add and hope that js do...

Hello and free music for all

Hi all! I've been GNU/Linux user for more than ten years now and started my music making journey just a little later. It was a long road to start producing compositions that i liked enough to complete and publish, but recently (after discovering noise) i've been making music more regularly. These da...
