Re: Botchin Bach (TD-3 programming)
This is great fun! :) Did you record the TD-3 straight into the soundcard? There is a certain bassy, meaty quality to it, that reminds me of good monitors recorded in a room or even a small PA. Thank you! I connected the TD-3 to my laptop by way of a Line 6 POD HD500X. I recorded directly into Ardo...

Re: A birthday song
Great track -- thanks for sharing!
I especially liked the double-kick patterns/fills. Nice touch!
The lead guitar opening got my attention right away. Great tone! Also, that brief bit around 0:24 is super cool and heightens the drama.

Botchin Bach (TD-3 programming)
I recently acquired a Behringer TD-3, a knock-off of the venerable Roland TB303. Here's my first attempt at some programming. Kind of weird to have a solo synth bass piece, but I can't think of a better way to learn to make the thing sound the way I'd like ;) https://soundcloud.com/modusjonens/botch...

Re: Guilt Amplifier (EDM)
As for the track you linked, I really like that tone you had on the rhythm guitar. Is that from a real amp, or ampsim like guitarix? Thanks! Glad you liked it. I use a Line 6 Pod HD500X. It serves as both an amp/cab modeler and an audio interface. (I happen to have done a write-up of that specific ...

Re: Guilt Amplifier (EDM)
Glad you like it, it was actually fun for me to perform a solo over an electronic track. I've found many repetitive sections in EDM tracks to be great to freestyle solo over. Thank you! I have found myself doing much the same thing. Can't agree more about improv on top of EDM! I took a crack at thi...

The loop in #4 made me laugh, but in a good nostalgic way! These are great sounds.

Re: 2019 Milestone recording
@Rainmak3r -- I would definitely like to work out that middle section more. I already have a variation in mind for the main theme, not it's just a question of when I get around to it.
If and when I get around to it, I'll keep folks updated.

Re: 2019 Milestone recording
@milo -- Thanks for your feedback! I have to admit I think you are correct; this piece could definitely benefit from a bit more variation. I like your rhapsody idea. I should sit down and see where that metal part can take me... @ufug -- Thank you for listening! I have a tendency to try to finish id...

Re: My New Guitar: Ibanez AM53
That's a beauty and sounds wonderful. The opening few notes made me wonder if you were going to start into Extreme's "More than Words" :) I've been an Ibanez player myself for 20+ years. They make some fine instruments in my humble estimation. Hope to hear more soon! EDIT: Also, makes me w...
