Re: Cleopatra (EP)
While listening, this seemed orchestral and cinematic. The rock elements worked well, and didn't seem out of place to me. I imagine the process of taking an idea to various concepts, to rough drafts, and on to finished works, Is a combo of hard work applied to giftedness, or at least strong passion...

Re: Cleopatra (EP)
Great piece of work! Indeed a shame, those gaps during playback. I look forward to listening to the single track version. And thanks for the history lesson! Thanks for listening, and glad you enjoyed it! On history, you may want to double check everything, as I may have gotten a bit creative with i...

Cleopatra (EP)
Hi all! After a very long period of silence (only partly broken by a couple of silly Christmas songs), I'm so happy to finally be able to introduce what is probably my most ambitious project so far: a 27 minutes long song on Cleopatra, that's basically a symphonic rock opera! This is an appetizer fr...

Re: Open Harp
For anyone interested, it's the instrument patch itself that really makes this stand out. It's Angel Harp, one of the default patches in my Yoshimi 'Companion' bank. The 'strike' is a fairly conventional AddSynth single voice with a quite rapid decay, but the tail is a SubSynth element which is bas...

Re: Sunrise Loop Jam, Moon, and a Christmas Carol
on my MOD Dwarf Founders Edition. Aaaah I've been curious about that for a long time! From the videos I've seen around, it looks like a very nice visual interface to what I assume will be JACK on a portable box (or maybe Pipewire), since basically all the modules I saw mentioned were known librarie...

Re: Honeysuckers - Sign In The Sky
Apologies for the late comment, but I've been away from the forum for a while. Listened to the four tracks you shared right now! It felt a bit like a dive in the past, since it brought me back to the 90's which is when I started to listen to rock music myself. I could hear some grunge influence, mor...

Re: Naked God - Fall [industrial]
Catching up with old posts, so incredibly late on this, but I love this track! It gave me strong cyberpunk/horror vibes, this would have felt great in the Cyberpunk 2077 OST for instance!

Re: Koibito Ga Santa Claus (cover)
A great watch! Lots of fun, a welcome distraction from today's headlines.. What a great family to get on board and have fun with you! And even some trademark shreddin' in there, great job on the editing too! Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! I definitely had fun (ab)using the light blue walls of my st...

Re: Koibito Ga Santa Claus (cover)
Tasty? I thought I saw wife/sis with a 'sopapilla' in the video! Anyway, thanks for a great fun creation. Sis: I'm hopelessly single  I don't know what a sopapilla is, though? I hope your family appreciates those skills. And some of those abilities are likely gifted 8) Thanks for sharing the ...

Re: Feliz Navidad (al infierno)
How funny this is! Thank you for sharing such an elaborate humour piece. Your adaptation of the melody to other modes, the key changes, reharmonization etc. You clearly know what you're doing and you are certainly giving it the best possible use it could have, I mean ROTFL Thanks, glad you liked it...

Such a fun tune and nice interpretation! I hope I'll have the same willingness to play music and enjoy it, in my 70s!
