Re: Zrythm - An highly automated, intuitive, Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) - Release v0.4.003

I tried it and had a couple of crashes, but i'll investigate further before reporting. bug reports are welcome (and encouraged)! especially if you include steps to reproduce You've noted in a post above that it's geared more to midi workflow. Is this for large orchestral projects too? If so, I can ...

Re: Zrythm - An highly automated, intuitive, Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) - Release v0.4.003

Never looked at this DAW, how would it fair against a Muse for tracking and Ardour for mastering setup? The only advantages against Ardour at the moment are ease of MIDI editing and looks. There's plans to implement a control room soon. I've never used Muse but I assume it doesn't have repeatable r...

VST not implemented yet but you can use Carla for now (2.0 was just released).

Per-track color is implemented but not per-region yet. It's really easy to implement though, i'll make an issue to remind me

I want to support that eventually. I have no idea how that would work with MIDI though. need to do some research

Re: Hello, Zrythm developer here

Are you planning on making your DAW available in the KXStudio repositories in the future? That's what a lot of Linuxers use for their music software. yeah I already talked to falktx about this, he said he can host it there. i'll also investigate more about AppImages and flatpaks. I was under the im...

Re: Hello, Zrythm developer here

Ooh nice. Another Linux DAW for me to try, with LV2 support too :D Never heard of this one before. I just installed it via the apt instructions and everything seemed to go ok. But when I open the program, I can't maximise the window or get the preferences menu to open (or any other menu options wor...

Re: Hello, Zrythm developer here

@Linuxmusician01 Buster is already released as "testing". It's just not been released as "stable" yet. Zrythm won't work on any debian-based systems older than buster. Even GTK versions are old there so it's too much effort to make it work and I decided to work on more important ...
