Serif font in ardour after upgrade to debian buster

Hi,
for some reason there is a serif-font in ardour since I upgraded from debian stretch to buster. Thats very ugly and inconvenient. Do you have the same issue? How can I change that to the "normal" font?

Ardour jam to playback

I would like to jam to my own track. First I record a basic rhythm track with my guitar in ardour. Afterwards I add a second guitar track and put my guitar to the input. Unfortunately this track is muted during play unless I activate the record buttons. Is there any other way to listen to my guitar ...

Re: Ardour and calf-fluidsynth: which midi channel is used?

Fluidsynth-dssi is much simpler. One instance, one soundfont. Yeah, sounds good. I never got why there are so many different synths. If I have the same soundfont in different synths will there be any difference regarding the sound? @noedig: Thank you so much. That was exactly what I was looking for.

Ardour and calf-fluidsynth: which midi channel is used?

Hi, my workflow is like this: I do some guitar parts with tuxguitar -> export to midi -> import to a ardour midi track -> use calf fluidsynth By default every channel in calf fluidsynth is Yamaha Grand Piano as instrument. Usually I want to change the instrument, e.g. to Jazz Guitar. The problem is ...

Help with drumgizmo UI

Hello, can someone explain the meaning of the controls in the dg ui? What is the effect the different ones like attack, release, stddev, tightness, timing regain, laid back-ness? I also don't really get what the visualizer wants to visualize :) What effect does it have if I increase or decrease the ...

Ardour: midi region->edit->combine not possible

Hey,
I would like to combine two or more midi regions to one single region. But it's greyed out.
Someone asked the same question some years ago but with no solution https://discourse.ardour.org/t/merging- ... ions/85641

Re: Midi drum pattern browser plugin

Thank you guys.
In fact I didn't know this function of ardour. I used to import midi files by drag n drop.
The import function is not really what I was looking for, because it just plays the selected midi file and all the other tracks are stopped - but its very close to what I want.

Re: Midi drum pattern browser plugin

I think some music players support midi files, deadbeef being one of them. I've never tried it but I think it would work for what you need. Doesn't fit my needs properly. I want the drum pattern to be played to a looped (recorded) guitar riff. So it needs to be synchronzied in timing. Does ardour n...

Midi drum pattern browser plugin

Hey, is there any plugin like Toontrack EZ Drummer 2 for ardour? I'm using ardour for recording/producing and qtractor for midi editing. I have good drum plugins (drumgizmo, avldrumkits) and I found some free drum midi patterns. Now I need something for convenient usage. Usually I do record some gui...

I am using backports. Might this be a reason for this problem?

Re: MUSE: Bad timing error

I think the original problem with the bad timing error is now solved -> version 2 is too old.
So I started a new thread with the installation issue: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=19752
