Re: Ardour monitor settings to use two soundcards
(disturbing background sounds) Intriguing! What's going on in your house? A happy family which talkes with each other. Which makes me happy, but disturbs at the background when i record video. Their subjects do not have to go viral. I think everyone knows what you are saying so no n...

Re: Ardour monitor settings to use two soundcards
This will never be implemented in Ardour because of clock drift between two soundcards, at least that's my theory. With ALSA you can only address one Audio/MIDI interface. Just to be clear and to avoid missunderstandings. So if i understand you both well you try to tell it technically can not be do...

Re: Ardour monitor settings to use two soundcards
I asked the exact same question in Ardour irc and the answer I gave previously is the answer I got there. Why it works in Audacity and not in Ardour I don't know. Ardour targets pro audio and my guess is the way that Audacity managed to use multiple alsa soundcards for audio in and out isn't a good...

Re: Ardour monitor settings to use two soundcards
Doesn't seem much point getting frustrated by the responses on this forum Perhaps i will go ask there. Thank you for this idea. But were do you read frustration? I do not get frustrated about the answers i get as long as they are relevant and not simply naming something as impossible which i alread...

Re: Ardour monitor settings to use two soundcards
There are some screenshots on this page: https://alansanderson.band/2017/09/04/focusrite-scarlet-2i2-in-a-linux-home-studio/ I wrote this a couple of years ago when Thank you Milo. I will read that later and try to use it when i have the time for it. Can your internal card handle 48khz? As far as i...

Re: Ardour monitor settings to use two soundcards
The Ardour manual suggests it can be done. http://manual.ardour.org/setting-up-your-system/using_more_than_one_audio_device/ Also this thread might be of interest to you. https://discourse.ardour.org/t/ardour-4-use-2-soundcards-parallel/90610 The possible solution using Jack which Paul Davis refers...

Ardour monitor settings to use two soundcards
I want to select two different soundcards. Why? I want my computers soundcard to monitor the DAW output signal and not the u-phoria interface. One device for input (u-phoria interface), and another device (internal soundcard) for output (exactly as shown in the image below). I got it done exactly as...

Re: Microphone grill foam questions
Acoustic foam is not a trival product, and I know from experience as an Acoustic Engineer that it involves some development time. However, it is still a very cheap part. That is my thought too. There is no high specifications in it. It only has to let through all sound and stop the spitting and puf...

Re: Microphone grill foam questions
Thank you. But i do not mean that kind of foams. I mean the foam inside the grill ball. Replacement foams are indeed available at the link provided by sysrqer, for example this one for a shure model: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Shure-SM-57-63-SM94-Replacement-Foam-1-Gray-Windscreen-from-Windtech-600...

I am not going to spend $15 or more for a new grill ball where foam cost almost nothing. I am going to replace the foam myself. Not only for this one but this will happen more in the future.

Re: Pioneer Rekordbox
Ow man that is days ago. I do not know if i could find them back. I found topics about it while searching for the simple "mixxx rekordbox" or "mixxx pioneer rekordbox". Perhaps you can find them yourself? And i read them fast. They were talking about how to connect stuff and ther...

Re: recent projects show up twice in Ardour because of symlink
I have had that to once. I resetted ardour by deleting the ardour configuration = /.config/ardourX map (this does not damage the installation). After that you have to setup like you did the first time (minute work) and read the plugin-list again. After that you can simply open the ardour-projects in...
