Re: Spitfire Audio free sample libraries
I mean the Steinberg VST2 SDK header files, that you need to compile the project. The header files and their relative locations changed since the project was first shared apparently (at least in the official SDK): I played a bit with paths in the code and makefiles but then got other issues, and I ...

Update on Native Access for NI users
Hi all! I have found today that Native Access fully works after the last couple of updates. The app itself updates without issues and the plugins and libraries do as well! I think the main reason is that they changed the installation file type from ISOs to ZIP folders, so it's a lot easier for the p...

Re: Native Access
Hi guys, I have a really cool update for you! Today, I decided to change 'Native Access.exe's OS mode to 'Windows 10' in winecfg.... and... it works! Native Access updated itself (WITHOUT CRASHING!!!) and updated all the plugins I had without crashing too... I checked the Downloads folder while the ...

Hey guys! Just though I'd share that there is a fantastic alternative to Carla is called Airwave. It's fast and it's very easy to use!

Re: Spitfire Audio free sample libraries
I did try installing Airwave some time ago (on my Fedora 31), but IIRC I had many troubles getting the right VST headers (the ones officially available were not the ones the project expected), and I eventually gave up. Now that I got LinVST working for Spitfire, and that festige/dssi-vst work for o...

Re: Spitfire Audio free sample libraries
I can confirm that the latest version (3.2.6) works with the current WineHQ wine-devel version (5.10) on my machine. If you can't upgrade to that Wine version, then you need to install a pre-3.2.x version, e.g., SpitfireAudioWinSetup-3.1.18.exe, and add the "skip_updates": true patch I ou...

Re: Spitfire Audio free sample libraries
One of the Spitfire support folks went out of his way to help me with the issue: it turns out that there is a knob in the 'lm.conf' file which allows disabling the upgrade of the 'Spitfire Audio.exe' app: @@ -22,6 +22,7 @@ "login_token": "XXXXXXXXX", "cdn": "cloud...

Re: Native Access
Hi, I've tried your method, @ubunutuuser, but I get the error "Installation cannot proceed, your operating system is not supported. Please check the minimum requirements" after the InstallAware Wizard... Of course this could just be because my specs aren't good enough, but could it instea...

Re: Spitfire Audio free sample libraries
Hey, guys, I have a problem of my own. The LABS application had been working for me for a very long time, but in the last month or so open, it has started showing that loading screen, then just crashing! The vst plugin is still working completely fine, though, and all the instruments I'd already dow...

Re: Spitfire Audio free sample libraries
This is exciting - if i can get Spitfire stuff running on linux i might finally be able to be done with windows for good! I'm on Ubuntu Studio 19.04. I have the Spitfire app running via wine and downloaded some sound libraries. However I can't seem to get the plugin recognized in Carla (or bitwig)....
