Video tutorial and lessons about dsp for starters

Hey, I'm a person that learn new stuff by looking at videos or persons talking.
I found this cool old playlist on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xaaeop7gJ8&list=PLADC1A1B7FA7FF7B6.
I was wondering what else is out there? Good stuff for beginners, if you happen to know?

Re: [Proposal] LV2 for VST2 developers guide

Hey, I just wanna say this, I would select lv2 support only if all host supported it. Renoise for example don't have lv2. I would love to use lv2 format only but host don't support it. We can't just make lv2 plugins if there is no hosts that runs it. I think the way is to make hosts support it first...

Re: Renoise 3.2 released

The only problem is that now that we have a screen detachable mixer and sampler, I feel the urge for a second screen ;-) :D yeah that was the first thing I thought when looking at the changeling. That is not new, I detached mixer and sampler from Renoise loong time ago :wink: the line curve editing...

Re: DPF to VST data problem ?

I found the problem :D

Code: Select all

sig = sig * (2*gain);

  if (sig < 0.000000001f and sig > -0.000000001f){
   sig = sin(sig);
  }
  sig = sig + sin(0.000000000000000000000000001f);

Don't do that :lol:
but now one of them was created with full volume :lol:

Re: DPF to VST data problem ?

I got this with DEBUG=true had_NuN=1 seems to be from the one vst of 3 that failed I can't really separate them. so something like this // Wet knob final blend in outFinalL = (sigL1*0.0001*fWet) + sigDryL1 - (sigDryL1*0.0001*fWet); outFinalR = (sigR2*0.0001*fWet) + sigDryR2 - (sigDryR2*0.0001*fWet);...

Re: DPF to VST data problem ?

Don't get any NuN or Inf from std::fpclassify() like this float CheckForBadEggs(double input){ switch(std::fpclassify(input)) { case FP_INFINITE: had_Inf = true; return 0.0; case FP_NAN: had_NuN = true; return 0.0; default: return 0.0; } } That code would work for checking that correctly right? I th...

Re: setState() stateChanged() and getSate()

I think if you have state it is a good idea to have at least one factory program. The state can be be saved in LV2 preset files, but if the plugin has no factory preset, Carla, for example, won't enable the GUI controls to load LV2 presets. Now I need to implement full state API in order for that t...

setState() stateChanged() and getSate()

I have this float wave_y[AREAHEIGHT] on both Plugin and UI. They should share this "wave information" I have void DistoTVUI::stateChanged(const char* key, const char* value) { printf("Im here at StateChanged\n"); if (strcmp(key, "waveform") == 0) { char* tmp; int i = 0;...
