Re: jackd - MIDI clock and MIDI 2.0

However, well known is as well, that jack-midi never was done for interact with "hardware synthesizers". For hardware midi handling you indeed better use raw alsa. This is a very confusing thing to say, lol :? its true, but you get the same latency from jack and alsa. https://jackaudio.or...

Re: Open interchangeable format for DAW sessions? Instawin for FLOSS!

Cool ide but not really possible. It will be too restricting or general for daws that might want to do things differently. But session management and synchronization is possible.

Re: Looking for full-time job

When its done, you can send a link to all plugin reviewers on YouTube and daw/studio magazines. We can all help you. Those plugins would look good in a magazine 8) when they read that it's "free" I think most people would go and download them. Maybe 3-7 of 100 will be like, what the heck ...

Re: Looking for full-time job

That's sad :| Linux audio production is small, what if you're awesome LSP plugins could reach an more wider audience and get more advertised on platforms like mac and windows, but still have the roots on linux and being open source. I'm working on that but that still requires many things to do. The...

Re: Thank-a-developer day

When we are forced to pay. We usually just do it. But when we get freedom, we don't know how to choose. Its in our attitude to not pay for something with our free will. We are like robots. Microsoft and appel they all used business strategies to teach users to buy closed source software. Open source...

Re: Making Zam's DynamicEQ stereo

Just start, add 2 (or 1?) input and 1 output here https://github.com/zamaudio/zam-plugins/blob/master/plugins/ZamDynamicEQ/DistrhoPluginInfo.h then you need to add input[0-1][frames] and its sidechain input so that will probably be input[2-3][frames]. add it in and go thru all the dsp and debug. loo...

Re: DPF midi time

thanks for the tip :D you where right, it only runs continually if it gets loaded as an "Instrument" in Renoise. You can load midi utilities on a audio channel and then send it to an "Renoise Instrument" but then It requires some kind of input... Renoise is a strange host, but I ...

Re: DPF midi time

Okey, the host (Renoise) only calls run() when the plugin get midi in. But I want the plugin to be alive all the time and keep generating random numbers. How can I do that?

Re: DPF midi time

That seem to be about the time position during transport playback? That is not what I want

I could create new data typ from struct MidiEvent and edit data member frame. And then send that out. I'll try tomorrow.

DPF midi time

Hello I'm wondering how would you keep track of time in dpf without audio in? I used to think of every frame as a sample and then refer to the current sample rate. I have a midi input that seems to be based on "events"? if I'm right I need to keep track of the "stream of time" or...

Re: DPF run() with only midi out help

Okey, thanks. seems dirty, but I guess I could use midi input for something fun :D

edit: I realized I could use the midi input just like an "midi thru". not so dirty after all...
