Re: Mastering the loudness of a track
x42 limiter on ALL tracks  Very high gain, very high threshold, attack depends on the instrument. All the rest: export wav 44100 16bit, load in Audacity, select all, normalise, loudness -12dB, apply, limiter -1, apply, export. That's actually what everybody does to make things to sound loud...

Re: How to find a good configuration to be a linux muscian
Since your name is Gabriele I guess you're Italian, right? If so, you may try to look at my guide in Italian: https://stefanodroghetti.it/produzione-musicale-su-ubuntu-22-04/ To learn everything about using a DAW with plugins and so on on Linux, you can obviously check Unfa's channel (in English): h...

Re: What's the News in the City
Bella canzone, Stefano! Your songwriting is always nice, and your sound always very British. I like your old-fashioned (take it as a compliment!) style. I think melody is slowly disappearing from mainstream music and it's good that some keep the flame alive. I thank you so much, this is the best co...

Re: What's the News in the City
Molto ben fatto, Stefano ! Chill relaxed song. A very pleasant and original song. Smoothly done, and low stress listening :D Ahahah yes, this time I took it slowly ^_^ I don't know, nowadays people tend to use beats only in exciting songs, it seems nobody use that old "ABBA" style (and br...

Re: The mind eclipse
The composition is really good, tragic but sober. It's really moving. Perfect for documentaries or films. But also to be played in theatres by a real orchestra.

Re: Change the game
It's great, my best compliments!
Probably you can improve the vocals in the first verse, maybe they sound too much out of the mix to me, but everything comes back to perfection when the chorus starts.
Great sounds. I wish I was able to get those bass and drums out of my Linux machine

Re: Ardour MIDI insert/ext_send to Carla: no clock sync!
Thank you, you saved my day! I looked into Preferences, and it turned out Ardour's transport was on "MMC" by default. I had to deselect it, press on "Show Transport Master Window", select JACK and then press the Transport button. And there it works! https://i.postimg.cc/26nSn3Tn/...

[SOLVED] Ardour MIDI insert/ext_send to Carla: no clock sync!
If I load a plugin in Carla and I connect it to Ardour via an insert or an external send, I don't find a way to sync the clock. Example: I load an arpeggiator or a delay in Carla, make a MIDI track with some chords in it, send it to Carla via the patchbay or QJackCtl or whatever, and when I press pl...

Re: Ubuntu 22.04: pipewire, wayland and flatpak - A small guide
Anyway you can always use an application (no matter how it's installed), launch it and connect it to flatpak Ardour. For QmidiArp I just installed it as always: sudo apt install qmidiarp then I launched it, and connected it to Ardour via qpwgraph (I guess I can do the same with Carla or QJackCtl), ...

Re: Ubuntu 22.04: pipewire, wayland and flatpak - A small guide
If I had money to buy a computer only for music production, I'd probably use Manjaro. And follow everything Unfa does :-) But I have a single PC, and I need a very stable distribution to work, this PC is not only used by me and so I also need something very documented. And, actually, nowadays you ca...

Re: Ubuntu 22.04: pipewire, wayland and flatpak - A small guide
Related: https://ludocode.com/blog/flatpak-is-not-the-future I think it can be true. But at the moment, in Ubuntu 22.04 on wayland, I think it's the quickest and easiest way to use music software. Probably on Manjaro it's not. But if we talk about Ubuntu, I think it's better to use flatpak, at leas...
