Re: Loomer's Architect announced

Changed my mind somewhat ... Anyone using this? The more I play with it the more I want to use it. Hi lilith, I use it since day 1 :D . I provided two small contributions here: https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=141&t=517777&p=7379312#p7379312 and here https://www.kvraudio.com/f...

Re: TLs plugins

They're all excellent. The plugin author is Daniel aka TbT Audio, the same person who made the 32-bit Windows TbT plugins years ago. They're back with improvements and a lot more features. Expect more plugins to be released soon, too. Daniel has recently switched to Linux, so thankfully for us he h...

Re: Adding some oscilloscope style probes to Zyn

"are these useful enough that they should almost always have some screen space or are they something which should get screen space only when the users are explicitly looking for them?" Hi Mark, to me the scope is useful as long as you tweak some parameters and you see the results "im...

Re: Adding some oscilloscope style probes to Zyn

That's a really good idea, Zyn will benefit a lot with a scope "probe". My only feedback at the moment (apart from the obvious triggering stuff) would be to leave a much smaller area of the GUI for the Scope. Something like the U-He synths, if you know them... Moreover, the scope should be...

Re: Dragonfly Reverb 2.0.0

That's impressive! Thanks for sharing this ..

Now ... we need ... Dragonfly SHIMMER :D, which is dragonfly hall with a (configurable) pitch shifter in the L-R feedback path.
What do you think? 8)

Re: Anyone able to build Algoscore recently?

Hy Raboof, from your git I built without problems :D In my trials midi out seems to work fine (I used a midi out bus in Algoscore - connected to jack -, put some stuff on it and I can see midi events in output). Concerning the broken audio interface of CSOUND6 I found the following in http://files.c...

Re: Anyone able to build Algoscore recently?

Greetings ! I once wrote an article about AlgoScore: https://www.linuxjournal.com/content/algoscore-music-numbers dp Hi Dave, I got interested in AS because of your article  I was able to fix up the build, it even compiles against csound now and starts. I haven't tried actually doing anything...

Re: Anyone able to build Algoscore recently?

[off topic] Why is is to hard to build an application/executable code from old source code? ... In one word? Evolution. This is where functions and interfaces may change: or you are able to recreate the same ecosystem in which the SW has been created or you will be in trouble. I anyway subscribe th...

Re: Anyone able to build Algoscore recently?

Hello again, attached here is a small pdf describing the build process. I know that what I describe is all but optimal, but bear in mind that I don't know the source nor the Build tool (CMake). What I'd like to do is to add back the CSOUND support to hear how the scores sounds. Ideas are welcome. Go...

Re: Freeware alternative for SynthEdit?

I don't want this thread to deviate from the topic but there are few clarifications: Well, the patches that they made in Pd-extended do not work anymore. Could you be more specific? I did all my patches in pd-extended back in the old days of 2006-2012. They work out of the box in purr-data (my littl...

Re: Anyone able to build Algoscore recently?

This page has some useful info: http://kymatica.com/apps/algoscore . (Note that is different from the url in the OP) From that page: NOTE: This is an abandoned project and included here only for historical reasons. ...! There is also a link to the source tar.bz2 on that page, which is probably bett...

Re: Freeware alternative for SynthEdit?

snip Have you tried Purr Data? I think I prefer this over any others but you are right, it is a mess on linux.. Why do you say that it is a mess? I installed purr-data (Pd-l2ork-2.9.0 20190416-rev.2b3f27c) and it is working quite fine and stable for me. I really like it much more of the vanilla ver...

Re: Anyone able to build Algoscore recently?

Hi there, I had a full spare afternoon and I attacked the problem of building Algoscore again. My driver is just "curiosity". I finally was been able to build it with some editing of Cmake stuff (read: nightmare). In practise I disabled the CSound output (the program is strictly "link...

Re: vember audio surge is now opensource

Thanks oddy.o.lynx for pointing out the link! The .deb package is more stable for me, I don't have the preset issues anymore (I just wonder why the raw compilation of sources provides something different...). I'm amazed of the possibilities that this synth seems to have, including processing of inpu...
