it makes a difference sure but now it also makes it for the subtle or not-so-hard or heavy hits ;)
Yes, I noticed just yesterday that the DCF envelope amount seemed to have no effect in samplv1. I'll checkout the new version as soon as David has updated the Arch package.

Re: Libre Music Challenge #1

Voting in the FM and Nexus challenge was quite involved. I programmed a Flask app to handle it, so you had to create an account. This is something I'd like to improve the next time, e.g. let people log in with Oauth to vote, so they can use their Google, FB, whatever account. But I'd still leave the...

- Note velocity doesn't affect DCF envelope anymore.
That's quite a significant change from a sound design and compatibility perspective. Is it planned to introduce a Filter Env Velocity Amount control in the future?

Re: Libre Music Challenge #1

What is the exact deadline for the first challenge? Sunday, 28th of June, I suppose? What time and timezone?

Re: LinuxMusic.rocks

You just write an import script, which takes text file, e.g. a JSON or YAML file (or a Markdown file with YAML meta data, like in my project I posted a link to) and enters the information from the file into your database. Then set up a git repo, where users can make Pull/Merge Requests to add new fi...

Re: All SocaLabs plugins open sourced.

Yep that was the first thing I did before posting, I deleted the debian apt-get lines. it still failed and that's when I posted. I you look at my first post in this thread, I posted a link to a diff for a fixed version of the build script: https://linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.php?p=118550#p118550 A...

As for community feeding, i was thinking about adding ability to rate/mark software as "owned/used".
Hmm, I don't really know what benefit one would have from this information and I suspect it would out of date most of the time anyway.

Re: LinuxMusic.rocks

Very nice idea, although I think it'd be better if the entries were crowdsourced somewhere like on a git repository with a license like the CC-BY or CC-BY-SA in a format like Markdown or even YAML. I fully agree. I do something similar here (though with another focus): https://libremusicproduction....

Re: LinuxMusic.rocks

Ok, I just send you a link to one of my plugins (YK Chorus) via the contact form.

As someone on IRC remarked, only very few entries seem to have a link to the project homepage. WIthout those, the usefulness of the database is a bit questionable.

Re: use Electric Guitar as MIDI controller

[...] `aubionotes` ( documentation ). To use it more easily, you can pass it the -j flag so that you can patch inputs and outputs via jack. Apparently you have to use the '-j' flag, not '-i'. Then use catia or the qjackctl connection dialog or the 'jack_connect' command line tool to connect your au...

Re: use Electric Guitar as MIDI controller

Code: Select all

system:capture_1
Use "jack_lsp" to list in- and output ports (or install "Cadence", which gives you the program "Catia" a graphical patch bay for ALSA and JACK ports).

Re: All SocaLabs plugins open sourced.

This happens when I try to build this. Seems like only a temporary failure to reach the github repos. GH has been having trouble these past days... Ok, I just pushed a change to master. Can you try again? I'm afraid that didn't help. But when I recompile 'Compressor.so' with make CONFIG=Debug it st...
