OnlineTool - tuning systems
Hi folks, I wrote a little online tool which allows you to hear what different tuning systems sound like. https://flappix.github.io/web_intonation/ Source code: https://github.com/flappix/web_intonation Usage In first block you chose from some presets to start with. In the scale section you see a b...

Re: GuitarMidi-LV2
Hi, that's an interesting project. Currently I'm using aubionotes for this job but I'm always looking for a better solution. I tested your plugin but it's not really working for me. As far as I loaded the plugin (but not connected anything) I get some scattery noise. There are also many notes trigge...

jacklooper - Headless audio looper
Hi, I wrote a minimal looping software designed to run without any GUI, fully controllable via midi. It's probably most suited for Raspberry PI like projects. It was primarily designed to fit my personal needs and therefore it's far away from perfect but I put some brainpower into the synchronizatio...

Re: Das Landstreicherlied
Thanks, I'm glad you like it. The guitar is almost clean. There is very light distortion coming from a Roland Streetcube Ampflifier, than I added some reverb from ArtyFX (http://openavproductions.com/artyfx/) and a bit compression and equalization from Calf plugins. The part you mentioned consists o...

Das Landstreicherlied
Hi, last summer I did a 2-month bicycle trip across south France and Spain and I tried to pack my feelings and impressions about the trip in a song. I had a guitar with me but honestly most of the material I composed when I was back home. The title Landsteicherlied is German and means something song...

Re: Do you listen to/enjoy your own music regularly?
While I produce/record my tracks I play and listen them so much that I really become annoyed of them when the track is finished. Mainly because I have to practice my own compositions very hard until I'm satisfied with the result. When some time is gone I can come back to them and then also enjoy lis...

Re: ChordLooper - Parse & loop chord progressions
I made some improvements on the interface. It looks much cleaner now, there is more space for longer progressions and it doesn't have this feel of a child's toy anymore.

Re: ChordLooper - Parse & loop chord progressions
I added two features: A very basic voice leading algorithm which tries to minimize distances between the notes of two consecutive chords (without bass notes). In many cases like a II-V-I progression this sounds pretty nice while in other cases like an Andalusian cadence it does not so well because i...

Re: ChordLooper - Parse & loop chord progressions
Thanks for your comments. Pad sound is now selectable via the sound drop down menu. Also some other features are implemented like - Save/Load of your favorite progressions - Humainzer (last slider) adds some dynamics to the playback - You can transpose your progression to another key using the up/do...

Fluidsynth map midi commands
Hi, I want to change the volume in Fluidsynth using a midi controller. By default Fluidsynth expects to get the volume by a CC7 event but I want it to change the volume on a CC24. I think the router directive router_par1 is what I need but I cannot make it work. I started Fluidssynth in server mode ...

Re: Installation problem
How to install program depends on the package type they are. In your case it is just a zip file, you don't have to actually install it. You can extract it anywhere you want and launch it from there. The relevant file is located at path/where/you/unzipped/JJazzLab-2.3.1-Linux/bin/jjazzlab Depending o...

Re: Xrun with Tracktion Waveform
Thanks for your reply. I tried pure alsa but the problem persists. I also tried with pulse audio but I was not able to get any sound out of it.
You mean in Settings -> Audio Devices? There I switched between jack and alsa.

Xrun with Tracktion Waveform
Hi, I tried Tracktion Waveform Free and I really like its interface and workflow, much more appealing to me than Ardour. Unfortunately I get a lot of ticks, clicks and noises in my recordings, sounds pretty much like xruns. My machine fulfills the hardware requirements and I never encountered this p...

ChordLooper - Parse & loop chord progressions
Hi, I wrote a simple web based tool to create chord progressions and loop them for improvising / melody writing. There are already some other solutions out there for this purpose but all of them are facing the issue that it's pretty time consuming to enter some more complex progressions with mixed k...
