Re: Synthmaker bundle

In taking a look at the current Mini alternatives I came across the Roland/SE Electronics SE-02, so I did an alternate version of minDy called minDy 2 that approximates most of the features and structure of the SE-02,, but with the minDy 's vintage interface. It's in the same folder as minDy . Both ...

Re: Synthmaker bundle

Just added a new one; something I started near the beginning of it all, but never saw the point of including it: an emulation of the minimoog. Obviously it's not possible to even hint at the sound of mighty 'D' with a Synthmaker build, but I thought the new features of the re-released hardware minim...

Re: Synthmaker bundle

In the 'shameless promotion' department, here's an album by Mac of BIONighT made with only my plugs plus drums and, on one track, a vocoder.

Re: Synthmaker bundle

At the request of someone with humble CPU resources, I did a single-voice version of Chorg 770DV, so Chorg 770:

Re: Synthmaker bundle

FWIW, here's a guy offering some presets. Since I do mostly Ambient stuff, they're not my particular cup-of-tea, but there seem to be some usable lead sounds - I've only checked out a few of them.

Re: Synthmaker bundle

Happy New Year! For those whose hosts can't save presets as .fxb, all plugs in the 'Named Params' folder now have a Preset Manager added. The ones just done are: 80-vox Cassini Chorg 770DV Insoniq EZQ-FM Kroma Duette M minimodular Multipoly OatsFM Polly Rolend Block-8 Rolend Block-8_cables Rolend JP...

Re: Synthmaker bundle

Here's a simplified FM instrument - based on the basic idea of the pretty obscure Korg DS-8, which was built around the voice of the Yamaha FB-01 4-op FM module. In place of the then-bewildering Ratio Tuning and Modulation Index way of producing waveforms, it had a set of pre-formed FM waves that on...

Re: Synthmaker bundle

To all: in general, if something appears to be not be working right your first step should be to re-download it from the master folder because I often go through these and find errors or make improvements, but don't litter the forums about every single 'fix' - your issue may have already been addres...

Re: Synthmaker bundle

Spogg over at DSPR asked a while back about have I done a 'dream synth' - the closest I've come I suppose is this one I just finished tidying up. It's based on a daydream of a Yamaha that combined most of the features of several CS-series synths. The mighty CS-80 was mighty because of it's truly pol...

Re: Synthmaker bundle

Here's one that wasn't in the original Bundle because it wasn't finished yet. Inspired initially by the DIY hardware synth, Goom. It had an interesting signal path, but no LFO! So I expanded it to three oscillators and gave it two freely assignable LFOs (one through the mod wheel) and two freely ass...

Re: Synthmaker bundle

Finally got Synthy P (based on the very rare EMS Synthi Professional) param-named (and a visible Preset Manager), in the process did a major re-vamp (mostly error-corrections ;-] ) and an alternate version that has a single ADSR, like the hardware. Oscillator three can toggle to a step LFO. The alte...

Re: Synthmaker bundle

Well, though jbuonacc over at KVR certainly could have gone about it in a less nasty and more specifically helpful way, in going back over his remarks and listening to the examples he posted it seems the big issue is how these act at too-high filter resonance settings and/or with feedback applied (I...

Re: Synthmaker bundle

Sorry to crush anyone's hopes, but if anything native Linux is even possible with these it will have to be done by someone else. I'm not a developer (I hope I didn't give that erroneous impression) - just a hobbyist dunce who's spend way too much time dorking around with Synthmaker. I don't know cod...

Re: Synthmaker bundle

Read up on xruns a bit. If the issue is GUI-related, I'm afraid I just don't know what changes to make there. Regarding CPU load in general, Atticus is surely the most overstuffed synth I've built, and Synthmaker stuff is rather CPU-hungry to start with. I did go in and change a few things which hel...

Pardon my ignorance - what's an xrun?
