Re: OSX State-of-Play?

You can check out the cocoa_ui branch and follow the instructions on https://drumgizmo.org/wiki/doku.php?id=dev:macosx_building_howto I finally tried building this on MacOS. Is there a way to build a MacOS native LV2? I tried fiddling with the parameters to ./configure, and it built an LV2 version,...

"Storm in a Glass of Water" would be a great title for a piece of music.

Re: Dragonfly Reverb 2.0.0

Congratulations on the glowing review! My favorite quote from the video: "Because it's FREAKING AWESOME!" Heh, thanks! His vocal demo had me nearly laughing my head off. Another funny thing is when he was adjusting the reverb on the percussion, that part when he cuts the lows and highs sh...

Yes, the DAW saves the Linuxsampler settings. I'm using the Linuxsampler LV2 plugin, I am able to load DAW sessions and my virtual instrument tracks are correctly configured.

Re: Looking for versatile sampler plugin

That would nearly work, but linux sampler is not a plugin, or can it be used so that all settings are in DAW project? It can be used that way. I have several projects that use Linux Sampler. I load the plugin in the DAW, configure it with qsampler, then save the DAW session, which remembers the set...

Re: Hello from a Swedish hobby programmer

Hi joelkp! This is a good forum for discussing those kinds of things. Just recently there was a thread that had some commentary about people with a disposition to "tinker". You are exactly that kind of person. Here we have a variety of people who are interested in audio production, composi...

Re: Dragonfly Reverb 2.0.0

Nice, thanks. Is there a changelog somewhere? You can kind of view the releases page as a change log: https://github.com/michaelwillis/dragonfly-reverb/releases I should probably make something better than that, though... A number of things listed in those beta releases were kind of experimental, s...

Re: Dragonfly Room Reverb - Testers needed

Is it just that they implement different reverb algorithms? Is one better than the other for specific tasks for some technical reason, or is the difference purely subjective? Yes, the technical difference is that they use different late reverberation algorithms. Incidentally, they both use the same...

So atm I have two daws, 6 DragonFly reverbs, effecting a hardware synth and a software synth, and firefox running to post the results. Sounds great, working fine, low cpu numbers... 8) Wow... I think that is the biggest stress test that anybody has reported. I'm glad to hear it went well. I'm no re...

Re: Looking for workstaion keyboard with specific features

Great instruments especially piano and orchestral ... editable synth sounds would be nice You might consider getting a midi controller keyboard that has all of the other features you need, but doesn't make its own sound. Instead you could look into hosting virtual instruments on a computer. That wa...

Re: Dragonfly Hall Reverb

Getting ready for the 2.0.0 release, I have started working on publishing manuals for both plugins. Thanks to a lot of help from a technical writer named Chris Share, the current draft of the manual for Dragonfly Hall Reverb is here: https://michaelwillis.github.io/dragonfly-reverb/dragonfly-hall-ma...
