Re: how to make a video like this

I should point out, when you go to animate, you should hide any and all unnecessary elements that will not be on camera for a given scene. Disable the 'eye' and 'camera' icons in the 'outliner' panel for that. 01.jpg 02.jpg Just like in Hollywood, this will save you time and resources. In other word...

Any thoughts on this ?
Have a look @ this vid...

then have a glance thru the comments section. Should be a couple things in there to help optimize and get your render times down.

Re: how to make a video like this

Looking good.

The only suggestion i'd make at this point would be to, apply a small bevel to all sharp edges and corners.

Otherwise, rock on and i hope that you are having some fun in the process.. :)

...how snap works
Line your segments up, turn snap on and select 'increment' then slide/move your segment into place. It should snap to the other segment.

Re: how to make a video like this

I don't want 90 degrees corners. A quick tip to bevel edges: In edit mode select "edge mode" select an edge, keeping your cusor close to that edge, press ctrl+b click then drag to your desired size. 2.jpg 3.jpg Use the scroll of your mouse (if your mouse has one) to add edges for a more rounded edg...

How are you doing your horn sounds? Is that a synth?
Howdy Milo, thanks.

I went with true horn samples this time around. A big difference over synth sounds, for sure and a lot less work, too. :D
