Re: Dragonfly Room Reverb - Testers needed

When I saw the high CPU usage I was specifically referring to the latest versions of both plugins. (I assumed you were, too.) Version 1.1.4 is the previous version of Dragonfly (Hall) prior to the disambiguation of Dragonfly by adding "Hall" to its name (and the addition of the Dragonfly ...

Re: Dragonfly Room Reverb - Testers needed

Using the Linux VST version in Reaper of either plugin, I get around 5% CPU. RT CPU is around 2%. (This is when I set my CPU governor to "performance" so it's at max operating frequency, just so I'm not getting a skewed number which might mean "40% of whatever frequency the CPU is cu...

Re: Dragonfly Room Reverb - Testers needed

Just was testing the new Dragonfly Reverb and again the older Dragonflly Hall. With both VSTs in Reaper I get extremely high DSP loads. http://i.imgur.com/O5wcOgC.png Just the two reverbs makes Carla CPU load going from 5 to ~4o%. I never observed such a high CPU load. On channel 4 there is DF Rever...

Re: New album released

Dope! How could I miss that? Found it while looking on your profile page. Maybe I was deterred by the cover? First track is killer (now playing the second one)! I like the voice too a lot.

Re: Totalchaos - The girl with the stars in her eyes

Like it overall. The second (much too short) track reminds me of Nine Inch Nails, the synths of track 5 on Kraftwerks Modell. My overall impression is that the mix and the sounds can be improved, also the volume can be increased in all songs without overdoing compression. The voice in the first trac...

Re: Something bit different: Possessed

Thanks guys : ) I like it too, but sometimes I think it's because I listened to it while making it at least ~100 times or even more

I guess the muddyness (which I didn't hear) might come from the pad sound. I will look into that.

Re: How can I eliminate pop sounds from alsa_in and zita-a2j working on ALSA loopback?

I found it. Problem is that the format (e.g. S32_LE) used by the alsa bridge is not supported by my interface driver while direct alsa can use a different format. What do you mean by direct alsa? Do you mean alsa loopback? In my asoundrc, every device including alsa loopback conforms to S32_LE form...

Re: Carla

I don't get it. So you have lmms installed from the open suse repository and carla from kxstudio? There's a Carla Linux - VST and a standalone Carla version. In lmms you want to load the vsts plugin, which is not possible. Sorry, I wasn't aware of this until now. I always thought lmms supports Linux...

Re: How can I eliminate pop sounds from alsa_in and zita-a2j working on ALSA loopback?

Good point. I will check tomorow what a guy from alsa and falkTX wrote me in IRC. I should still have the logs somewhere. Can also be a bridge problem. I found it. Re: ZynFusion goes Open Source

It's also not working for me. Workaround is to make a dummy file in your file explorer and choose this with the mouse in zynfusion as the (new) preset file. Crashes can happen, likely a bug in zynfusion.

Seems to be a bug, at least it makes no sense.

Re: How can I eliminate pop sounds from alsa_in and zita-a2j working on ALSA loopback?

Crackles or pops? Any difference when changing the sampling rate? I have similar problems with the alsa and zita bridges. Pulseaudio works fine instead. In my case it seems to be a bug in the alsa soundcard driver.
