Re: Audiogridder

I'm actually looking into using AudioGridder as well. I'm looking for the absolute easiest way to tie my Linux DAW system to some Sampler tools that will not run on linux in WINE. I originally was (and I still am) considering tying my Linux DAW and an old Windows 10 laptop together with two audio i...

Re: Audiogridder

My own experience recently: running NI Guitar Rig, if UI is open there is xruns (or at least it sounds like that), but closing ui fixes it. I assume guitar rig showing some meters updating all the time cause too much need for UI update, and that is spoiling audio also.

Re: Most of the iLok plugins not workin anymore

Meanwhile computer has changed, OS upgraded, etc. iLok manager works ok, can add and remove iLok licenses from my wine prefix, but plugins just give error dialog that computer has changed. Yeah, and needed to bump jack buffers to 8192 to avoid xruns

What kind of Kernel, and what distro are you using?

That was with Ubuntu 18.04 + liquorix kernel. Haven't tried recently, after biting the bullet and getting Bitwig I haven't been investigating running windows DAWs.

Re: Use TWO pro grade firewire interfaces together?

I hear this often, but how big this sync problem is really? And if I would want to check my own 2 interface system for sync problems, how should I test it? See https://jackaudio.org/faq/multiple_devices.html Yeah, familiar with that. And it is partially outdated, not including zalsa_in/zalsa_out op...

Combining two interfaces and get them in sync is not really possible

Re: Linux user got Ableton running in linux, made a video

Some people are/have been working for low-latency wine: https://github.com/nine7nine/Wine-NSPA/issues/4

Haven't tried, and no idea if work is still ongoing

I have also gotten Ableton Live Lite running with wine, but latency is huge. Did they got some decent latency?

Did you use WINEASIO?

Yeah, and needed to bump jack buffers to 8192 to avoid xruns

At least one use for such is search engine optimization. Search engines give higher rating for pages which have plenty of links from different domains. Yes. And the funny thing is that these techniques usually don't work. Search engines are well aware of this kind of fraudulent link placements and ...

Re: Arturia Midi Driver - has anybody got it working in WINE? (subject amended)

I didn't read back through all of the other posts, so I apologize if this has already been suggested, but if you used KVM/QEMU and purchased a gray market Windows 11 license, you could use an actual install of Windows 11 from within your Linux machine, and everything would work just fine. At least ...

Re: Professional Linux Audio Users, How Did You Do It?

Concerning Reaper freezing up: I take it that you use the Linux native version of it, not Reaper via Wine. Maybe they can offer support via the Reaper forum (it is paid software so you may expect some form of support from 'm). Concerning the use of software from one operating system (Windows) in an...
