Re: Does Netjack2 connect ARM to x86

You were right on one thing, I forgot to get the -dev file for the resampler. So that worked. But now I realize I still can't do what I intended to do which is getting several units sending stereo audio simultaneously to one unit in order to mix and record them on Ardour4. I understand now tha...

Re: Does Netjack2 connect ARM to x86

So I tried to install zita-njbridge last night on one of my machines and I wasn't very successful. I couldn't find it in the regular repositories so I downloaded the .tar file, extracted it and followed the install instructions but I kept getting an error during make where it says it can't find zita...

Re: Does Netjack2 connect ARM to x86

Yes everything works within the Odroid as long as I don't use net driver mode. I think I'll try using zita-njbridge tonight and see how it turns out. If I can get that out of the way maybe I'll get to play and record music instead fixing the studio

Re: Does Netjack2 connect ARM to x86

Hi folderol, nice to see you here. Actually the Odroid U3 is Little Endian, so is my IBM machine, and they do communicate. I just can't understand why as soon as I use net driver mode (which I presume is netjack2) the midi connections go missing which means I can't connect my USB midi keyboar...

Re: Does Netjack2 connect ARM to x86

Hi again 0xx0 and Frank, now that I have netjack working between the two machines I still have a problem. When I run Jack with the Alsa driver I see my keyboard in the Midi window and I can connect it to Yoshimi and then in the Audio window connect Yoshimi to Audio out. When I use the Net driver the...

Re: Does Netjack2 connect ARM to x86

Hi 0xx0, thanks for the confirmation, it encouraged me to continue trying to get this going. After failing to get things working by installing the latest Jack2 version on GitHub (I guess I need a good tutorial because it should be possible but I never got it right) I decided to take another route. I...

Re: Netjack2 on ARM

Hi Drumfix, after following your instructions I was still not getting any results so I went draconic and installed Ubuntu Studio 14.04 on all my computers and upgraded my Odroid U3 from version 13.04 to 14.04. Well what do you know? It finally worked! I guess I need a tutorial on Github and .waf bec...

Re: Does Netjack2 connect ARM to x86

Frank, I loaded Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet on an Orange pi PC and I did the same on an other IBM PC I have, got jack from the repository on both and they seemed to connect although the Orange pi PC still has issues with Jack. The OpiPC shows up in the jack audio connections window of the net manager ...

Re: Does Netjack2 connect ARM to x86

Oops! my bad. Didn't read all the way before I posted but I looked it up after and that amp looks vintage.
Here is my Selmer tenor sax and my Akai EWI-USB  Looking forward to your test results with Netjack

Re: Does Netjack2 connect ARM to x86

Thank you Frank I really appreciate the help. I also have two Rpi2 and two Opi-PC I want to link to the server. Let me know how it turns out.
PS. I saw Selmer in your signature, do you play wind instruments?

Re: Netjack2 on ARM

Wouldn't it be nice if it would say what version and protocol jack is using as soon as it starts? That would solve the issue of assuring yourself you are running the right version. :D

Re: Netjack2 on ARM

I know it's checked there and means they are not using the same protocol but it does not identify which protocols are being used since it's always the same message no matter which ones are used. :?

Re: Netjack2 on ARM

-Drumfix, thank you for the advice. When I checked the versions on my x86 units, on which Jack had been installed all within the same week, they all had version 1.9.10 with Protocol 8. But the Odroid on which I had reinstalled Jack only a few weeks later I had version 1.9.11 with Protocol 8. Aha! I ...
