Re: LinuxMusic.rocks

Very nice! Initial off-the-cuff thoughts; The title "database - linux music.rocks" could maybe be clearer. Yes it is a database, but it's like the "all or "front" or whatever page of the db. Maybe the screenshot thumbnails could be a bit taller? And maybe a bit less whitespace around the type? The s...

Re: Music player advise/recommendations needed

I use mpv with autoload, so that clicking on any file in the directory auto creates a playlist, like mpv * but starting from a specific file.

Re: Analogue to Digital and Playback

I would highly recommend using FLAC (lossless) rather than MP3 (lossy) for such an archival job.

If anyone needs to use lossy files (for streaming, putting content on a mobile phone, etc.), Opus would be the recommended format these days.

Just to note that Color Oracle is a good app for checking accessibility for colour-blind folk.

It looks like this;

Does it also display publicly who gives negatives ?
There are no negatives.

It's a 1-bit system, i.e., it has two states, e.g. "Thumb up" and, well, no thumb up. :)

Re: 1000+ LV2 plugins

@Basslint this particlar list is "automated" from lv2ls, but there is a place for a crowdsourced list of lv2 plugins; the LV2 wiki, feel very free to add a link to the right section for any plugins the page is missing :)

Re: 'Thanks for posts' plugin for phpBB3

Ah well, thanks for clarifying, but my point holds, a thumbs up can also act like an informal polling mechanism. AFAIU, we're having a debate on a proposal with the aim of understanding each others concerns and moving towards a possible consensus. I don't think it would be harmful, and I think that ...

Re: 'Thanks for posts' plugin for phpBB3

I'm guessing/perceiving those last two posts are/as heavy in ironic sarcasm given they were essentially "likes" in the form of actual posts. Today I would really like to signal my thanks to eikakot for creating an LV2 of abNinjam, but it would be entirely wasteful of me to reply with a "nice!", whic...

Re: WineASIO and Carla Issues After Updating to Ubuntu 20.04

Hmm. I'm fairly unfamiliar with the Wine etc side of things. I think it probably best you have a search through the existing issues to see if anything matches - https://github.com/falkTX/Carla/issues - or, if not, start a new one. Edit: to confirm, you have the experimental features turned on in set...
