Re: Linux Digital Audio and Music Workstation Comparison Matrix

Re: Pioneer Rekordbox

The day that Mixxx can stand in for Recordbox for Pioneer equipment will be a super win for Linux audio in the arena of DJing. Very early days there still though. (Also fuck Pioneer for not supporting FLAC after all this time)

Re: Ubuntustudio 19.04 Jack Gui with new functionality

Hmm. Would appear that I've missed a dependency in the PKGBUILD. I'm not sure what Arch package provides the python module 'jack' though.

Re: Can I use SunVox in a DAW like Qtractor?

Carla session with SunVox added as a JACK Application, then that loaded in Qtractor via Carla-as-a-plugin? Is that a thing yet? I need to reboot to fix a DBus problem to try, but I can't reboot yet as I'm downloading something mega sloooow..

Re: Seq64 midi connections

ah, the autoconnect ports option currently only words on application start - https://github.com/ahlstromcj/sequencer64/issues/146

the other method is using -m / --manual-alsa-ports which will give 16 virtual ports to use for connections

Try starting jack with cadence or qjackctl first, then open sequencer64 then zyn-fusion.

Re: Editing several MIDI tracks at the same place

You have a 8 bar phrase made up of 4x 2 measure clips and you're looping... you click on a clip to enter piano roll and you can now work in that limited amount of space. ... You can't edit anything outside the 2 measures which means in order to do so, you have to break out of PR, go back select ano...
