Guys, I recently re installed ubuntu 14.04 and I do not know what I did exactly but it turns out I do not have alsa drivers I've download the sources for alsa-lib and alsa-utils compiled and installed succefful however the driver itself fails<I get the output kibzyzii@kibzyzii-HP-EliteBook-840-G1:~/...

No I did not make them myself,I just chopped up some song and made a gig file out of the song parts

j_e_f_f_g..... Thanks but I since my last post I've been working on that and last night I managed to make a gig file,plus I would prefer knowing it myself since I'll be using different samples tomorrow and the days after

I did my searches on audio/pitch to MIDI got some results but installing whatever I got became a problem and I gave up on that(temporarily) . However I got another idea which might seem tedious but I know it would suit me probably better. What if I make a sfz/sf2/ gig file of whatever I have sampled...

Glowrak thanks. I'll dig some info, at least I have a starting point...Sysrqer, I am not exactly sure what you mean but in catia I can see "midi-through" and "midi capture"(channels or whatever they are called) and I have no hardware(i.e a midi controller) instead I use jack keyb...
