Re: Anyone know how to do 9/8 in Hydrogen?

You may use MIDI track + LSP Sampler as some sort of replacement for Hydrogen.

Re: Some performance tests on RPI4 vs RPI3

Found the reason for the case where in Test #3 the native code was faster than SIMD-optimized. On Cortex-A72 mixing s0-s31 register loads and stores with q0-q15 and d0-d31 arithmetics gives extra penalty. Replacing vld and vldm instructions with vld1.32 to one lane gives much more neat results on RP...

Some performance tests on RPI4 vs RPI3

Here are some short observations made when testing performance of LSP Plugins on the new Raspberry PI 4 SBC vs some other competitors. Test configurations: ⋅ Raspberry PI 2B v 1.2 with Cortex A-53 CPU, Raspbian stretch, GCC 6.3 ⋅ Raspberry PI 3B with with Cortex A-53 CPU, Raspbia...

Re: Video tutorial and lessons about dsp for starters

I'm having a translate into russian book written by A. Oppenheim from MIT.
It's very probably the author of this book.
The book is too academic and too hard to understand quickly due to many formulas.
Maybe these lectures are the easier material for understanding DSP.

Anyway, thanks for a link.

For EQs there is already an output meter. For Convolvers... Maybe, if I find the proper place where to locate them.

Re: low latency linux audio i/o library

AFAIR PulseAudio is not about the real-time performance and low latency.
If you want to write low-latency program, consider using JACK or ALSA.

Re: LSP Project

I'm a bit confused which branch to install now of the LSP plugins. Guess the recent bug fixes are not implemented in the master yet? I also wanted to setup the parametric EQ, but I don't see any APO option in the mode. Maybe I'm missing the recent changes, because last time installed from the spect...

Re: LSP Project

Great :) Thanks! The list of affected plugins by this bug: Parametric Equalizer, Graphic Equalizer, Spectrum Analyzer, Multiband Compressor. Merged changes to devel branch. Removed spectrum-analyzer branch. Added patch to the hotfix branch which can be used as a patch source to the 1.1.10 release s...

I've reproduced the bug using your samples/buffer settings. The latest patch should fix the problem.

Re: LSP Project

I'm using 1056 samples @ 48 kHz and 3 periods/buffer. 1056? It's non-standard power-of-two buffer size. Maybe it's related to such settings. Anyway, please try this commit: https://github.com/sadko4u/lsp-plugins/commit/d24b14f48618bd3add027d8b1c16282edc7f4c25 It seems that there was a really buffer...

Re: LSP Project

Still crashing: I see still count being too huge: count=18446744073703159930 Have you properly rebuilt plugins? You need to issue: make clean before you'll start any build. Also, what's your audio settings - Sample rate, buffer size, etc? Maybe I'll try to launch plugins with your settings. Edit: A...

Re: LSP Project

I've noticed that LSP does not require downloading the proprietary VST2 SDK by Steinberg like most libre VST plugins I know, and all the VST-related files (such as those in include/container/vst or include/3rdparty/steinberg) are authored by you. How does that work exactly? If your code allows writ...
