Re: Synthfest UK 2018

Thanks,

That's a very interesting idea, and shouldn't be too difficult to implement. Also I would think you'd then be able to enter any command line entry that way.
Hmmmm, time for some deep thinks

Re: Music Modernization Act

And no actual musician will benefit from this at all - the fees from the utterly obscene copyright length will all go to the corporations (almost exclusively American) while those doing the work will get crumbs - apart from the favoured few.

Synthfest UK 2018

Some weeks ago I was again delighted to get an invite to set up a free stand for Yoshimi at Synthfest UK (now in it's 3rd year). This took place in Sheffield last Saturday, 6th October. The event went very well. Better I think that last year. It was certainly bigger, and I think the visitors more cl...

Re: MOD Devices sponsors Linuxmusicians.com

I've been away for a while, and coming here now was utterly astonished to see the objections to this. Maybe (probably) there are things I'm unaware of, but the icon seems neat and unoffensive, tucked in the bottom corner. MOD appear to be the most Linux friendly company I've come across, and they ar...

Re: Yoshimi Command Line

Wow, cli for synth options, sounds like my tool! Cli might be used be human or by script. Otherwise we use automation in DAWs   That's certainly true for those able to use a conventional DAW, but this feature isn't primarily aimed as such people. Indeed the entire command line interf...

Re: Yoshimi Command Line

Following the general opinion, we've decided to make the status information switchable: off, on (separate line), prompt (added to the end). As for scripts, these are 'pull' style, in that Yoshimi can request a named one, then execute it. The layout is a simple text file with exactly the same format ...
