Remix time

It seems a while since I've put any of my own material here, so I recently remixed a track originally composed on a Yamaha SY22 + Roland Sound Canvas. It's now all Yoshimi (of course)

So please enjoy Ghost Train (with a download link)

Yoshimi Update

While tidying up CMakeLists.txt we inadvertently made a change that appeared to create a problem only for the official fedora build. Therefore we've pushed out a bugfix release V 1.5.10.1 For most of you there's no need to upgrade, although there are also a few minor niggles corrected and updates to...

Re: Towering Granite

Agree with millo. Something to think about, individual instruments played as such seem to sound quite different when played as part of an ensemble or orchestra - probably due to tiny mis-tuning of the individual ones. It is difficult to get this effect with sample sets in particular.

Re: Latest Yoshimi released :)

Forgot to mention, for the benefit of developers, there's been a lot of effort put into making the code easier to follow.

Latest Yoshimi released :)

V 1.5.10 Redwing Command Line access is now virtually complete. The graphic interface has had a minor makeover. Also, very occasional corruption of this has been resolved. All inactive controls are now shown as such - there were a number that previously weren't, thus causing considerable confusion f...

Re: Standard test needed to benchmark XRUNs

@ raboof
"How do you benchmark that you get better performance when using ALSA directly?"
For a single audio source, using ALSA directly should give better results. There's a whole chunk of RT processing taken out of the audio chain.

I didn't, but he probably guessed. Also, these days I rather look my age so I expect he thought I'd be a pushover.
