Two very nice 'free-flowing' tracks. Thanks for sharing.

Re: What I Did Wrong

This is a good song, well constructed and has a lot of promise. It sounds like you were being very careful. However, I think this is a mistake, especially with the vocal (the main focus). Re: Rosegarden Midi Question

Yes I saw that, but it did not ring a bell. No one would necessarily know what through routing means. By standard english "through routing" means nothing related to muting the audio output. A better way to describe it would be "Mute Midi Output", then it would immediately say wh...

Re: ZX Spectrum

Nice track. I can't say it reminds me of the ZXspectrum - I never had one. I was a BBC B and Master128 user

Most seriously impressed. My guitar-fu is almost nonexistent, but I can appreciate the effort and skill that must have gone into it.

Re: [ANN} Yoshimi 1.5.10.2

No. It should make no difference at all. The old method was using a sort of low-level shortcut (possibly fractionally faster). Also there were two routes to it and we were actually using the wrong one. Maybe this should never have been publicly accessible so now we're being good people and only usin...

How it happened :)

Sue and Joe were musicians that had fallen on hard times. Sue was a singer and Joe a drummer. One day as they were passing an orchard they decided to go scrumping. The idea being that what they didn't eat they might be able to sell. As they worked across, filling their knapsacks they came across a r...

[ANN} Yoshimi 1.5.10.2

In view of the upcoming changes to MXML this we've decided to make a preemptive bugfix release. At the same time, we've dealt with some memory leaks that might have occurred when handling corrupted files.

MXML V3.0

Heads up for anyone likely to come across this.

It now hides several internal elements that were accessible in V2.x so you might
want to review your code - it got us with Yoshimi :(
