Re: AV Linux MX Edition Released!

I tried AV Linux years ago and I had trouble logging in on a laptop. It was because AVL booted with NumLock on. A laptop doesn't have a number pad so some of the alphabet keys became numbers. In 'demo' the letter 'o' and maybe 'm' would be a number with NumLock on. It might be that. I can confirm t...

Re: AV Linux MX Edition Released!

I haven't installed AVL on my working studio machine yet, but I will want Libre Office to work, so that's a concern for me too. I'll experiment with AVL MXE + LO on a laptop that's less mission critical. If I find anything useful I'll report back. I don't know what I messed up yesterday, but today ...

Re: AV Linux MX Edition Released!

Hi, I installed AVL MX Linux and I am amazed by the functionality and speed. Unfortunately I broke my Libreoffice installation, which is needed for my lead sheets. Here are my experiences in short form: * Business laptop test system from 2009 with 8gb RAM and SSD - Very quick AVL startup and high pe...

Re: JJazzLab 2.2 and new demo

Hi Jerome, I have another suggestion: I was just experimenting with intros, endings and fills and many of them have a different length. So there is a lot of experimenting with inserting and removing bars. Is it possible to show the length of an intro/ending/fill when chosen, for example two bars? Fr...

@fraslo Just using the patch as it is won't work i guess. You could try to add the quirk for the device ID and see if it works :D.
Thanks for your answer, Geoffrey created a working patch for the MODX: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=22198

Re: Allen&Heath Qu-16 crunchy audio

Hi Geoffrey and bluebell, It works! I stressed my system for several hours and the problem did not occur. Without the patch there was this crackling after a few minutes by simply listening to an audio stream. I was able to record all 10 analog channels for over 20 minutes without any problems. No cr...

Re: Allen&Heath Qu-16 crunchy audio

Hi Geoffrey,

thank you so much for looking into my problem. I didn't compile a kernel for the last 15 years or so. I hope it is all right to add just the last four lines at the correct position. Compiling right now.

Thanks again

Re: JJazzLab 2.2 and new demo

Hi Jerome, I am still using JJazzlab and created several songs for practicing. Precount works great now both with my workstation and a soundfont. I am using Carla to load the SF2 file and connect it with JJL. I've got one suggestion: when I play along to some songs, all the bars don't fit on a scree...

Re: Allen&Heath Qu-16 crunchy audio

Hi, I have a similar problem with my built in class compliant audio interface (Yamaha MODX Keyboard 10out/4in/44100): after a few minutes the audio gets distorted, the problem vanishes sometimes after a few minutes. I tried different cables, USB ports and a lot of configuration options. There are no...

Re: Scarlett 18i20 gen 3 Linux - Crackling Audio

Hi,

sorry for spamming, too. I have the pretty exact same problem with my Yamaha MODX Keyboard (10out/4in/44100) which has a class compliant interface built in. Will this patch fix my problem, too?

Re: [ANN] Konfyt Digital Keyboard Workstation v1.1.2

Hi, thanks for your support. Can you load any other SFZ instruments in Konfyt without it crashing? What OS + version are you using? Do you mind sending the content of the console (bottom part in Konfyt) after startup, as well as the terminal output after the crash? I don't have any other SFZ files a...

Re: [ANN] Konfyt Digital Keyboard Workstation v1.1.2

What exactly do you mean by crash? Does Konfyt crash when you try to load it, or does the SFZ simply not load properly? Konfyt crashes when I try to load the SFZ. but works with Carla By this, do you mean by running Konfyt with the --carla command line argument? No, I can load the SFZ with Carla an...

Re: [ANN] Konfyt Digital Keyboard Workstation v1.1.2

Hi, amazing, just what I needed. :D The precompiled binary works very well here. The Salamander Grand Piano SFZ crashes, but works with Carla. Easy splitting and layering of sounds for my midi gear, I think my next keyboard will be a Linux laptop. Thanks for your work, the user interface is great. F...

Re: JJazzLab 2.0 is out !

Hi, I took a closer look to the song structure possibities and had lots of fun spicing up the accompaniment. When I activate a song there are 2 bars precount, but when I stop and start the song again, one beat is missing. It sounds like the first beat is "swallowed". This is reproducible with every ...

Re: JJazzLab 2.0 is out !

Hi, I installed the update and cleaned up my collection easily, thanks. Everything works very well, I created my first two songs and some exercises from a book. The number of beats using the "count in" differs from 3 to 8 beats. Is this style dependent? Is it possible to define the number of beats o...
