Re: Audio programming environment in LV2 plugin?

A FAUST JIT compiler in LV2 has long been on my ToDo list. Since today, there exists such a plugin [1]. It is in an early stage, with rudimentary support for controls, but is already usable to write simple mono/stereo filters. Feel free to try out and give feedback (preferably by mail, as I rarely v...

Re: Plugin to send off note after X seconds

moony [1] LV2 plugin is up to the task. Code snippet that does what you want (without bender, etc.) local srate = math.tointeger(Options[Param.sampleRate].body or 48000) local delay_ms = 4000 -- 4 seconds local delay_samples = srate * delay_ms // 1000 local sched = {} local midiR = MIDIResponder({ [...

ESI Juli@ XTe 4-in/4-out PCIe Audio Interface [used]

I'm thinking about selling used PCIe sound card [1]. Inside Europe, ideally. I don't need it anymore. Works out-of-the-box on GNU/Linux. Anyone interested? lspci -v -s 03:00.0 03:00.0 Multimedia audio controller: VIA Technologies Inc. VT1720/24 [Envy24PT/HT] PCI Multi-Channel Audio Controller (rev 0...

Re: lv2 midi input

qtractor tells me it only supports one feature ('http://lv2plug.in/ns/ext/urid#map') MIDI plugins (or more general event plugins) need that extension. So the plugin you've looked at lists it as required in its plugin metadata. Some hosts list all their supported extensions in the features list. Oth...

Re: lv2 midi input

this works in qtractor and ardour, but not in carla.. Some hosts route/eat/drop standard output/error from plugins. Don't know whether carla is one of them. You can try to write to a file instead... Or even better, use LV2's log extension (if carla supports it). so, concretely.. what do i do to rec...

Re: [ANN] LSP Plugins 1.1.0 released!

I transfer the content of graph for X and Y axis with the 25 FPS frame rate to properly update the state on the UI side fyi, 25 FPS is not a given constant. Hosts may use lower or higher update rates. A decent host will tell its plugin about the rate it uses [1] via the options feature [2]. [1] htt...

Re: Midi to CV/Gate

I'd be shocked if its not an lv2 plugin you can use in carla too.

It is indeed an internal plugin and not available as a separate LV2 plugin.

Re: Midi to CV/Gate

E.g. route note events through Note2CC plugin [1] and then use CC for automation in host.

Re: Advice on GUI toolkits

Do you need user input?
As you seem mainly wanting to do visualizations and ploting, you may want to look into a vector graphics library.

Cairo [1] comes to mind. There are also plotting libraries [2] based on the latter.

Re: Looking for a "MIDI transistor" (on/off midi gate, midi controlled)

My moony plugin [1] can do such things. Just load it in jalv [2], with or without GUI and you have your desired JACK MIDi transistor. The attached preset [3] should get you going.
