Mixxx 2.2 released with LV2 support
I thought I'd mention that Mixxx 2.2.0 is available, as it has been very active lately, and because the developers just added LV2 effect plugin support, which can really make it more than just a DJing tool thanks to features like 4 decks, many looping controls, master sync and 64 samplers. Does anyo...

Re: A Resonance Of Clouds [music from the Rack]
Amazing, thank you for the pointers! I already watched Omri's latest video, and he does a great job at explaining concepts. Looking forward to learning more and experimenting with it!

Re: A Resonance Of Clouds [music from the Rack]
That was excellent, Dave! This is really motivating to start playing around with VCV Rack. How do you think one should get started with it? It looks quite daunting with that many modules and cables, but what would be a starting set of modules that would be interesting enough to play around with? Che...

Re: headphones always muted at restart
Thanks English Guy, but unfortunately I already had PAVU Control installed and playing around with it didn't fix my issue.
I'll keep looking around!

Re: headphones always muted at restart
Thank you both for your input! However, none of the two solution offered fixed that muted headphone setting at startup...
I will keep you informed if I do find a solution!

Thanks Jonetsu!
Of course you can use it! You didn't even have to ask, given the licence, but I appreciate you asking and I'd love to hear what you end up doing with it

gentil - siesta, silbido (SooperLooper, Qtractor, Audacity)
Hi all I thought I'd share this one I recorded today, because I find it interesting how a single take with no planning whatsoever can come out quite nicely (to my own low standards). I recorded loops of snapping my fingers and whistling in SooperLooper with my new lappy, using the built-in microphon...

headphones always muted at restart
Hi community I recently installed the KXStudio repos on a new Ubuntu Budgie 18.04 install, and one issue that's a bit annoying is that my headphones are always muted at startup. I always have to open `alsamixer` from the terminal and unmute the channel and turn the volume all the way up. The laptop ...

what does kxstudio-scripts do?
I just installed the KXstudio repos on my new laptop with Ubuntu Budgie 18.04 on it.
I was wondering: what does the package kxstudio-scripts do? I couldn't find any documentation about it, and I was wondering if installing it would be useful at all for my setup or if I should just ignore it.

Re: Skip the ISO and focus on documentation?
That was a good read. I think everyone has made good points, and it really made me go back and forth between the ISO and the repo sides. I am still not sure what is best, but I just wanted to chime in and say: FalkTX, we're really thankful for your work so far, and maybe something that needs to take...

Thank you for the hard work and great resources. I'd like to support your work with a small donation... Where does one go for that? It would be great to be able to do that on Liberapay!

Article: Dplug For Developing VST Plugins on Linux
I assume some people might be interested in this article I found on Hacker News, about development of VST plugins on Linux. http://www.modernmetalproduction.com/dplug-developing-vst-plugins-for-linux/ "So what is Dplug? Dplug is an open source library written entirely in D that can build plugin...
