Re: Geekos DAW (libre music-making repository for openSUSE)

I am not entirely sure, I think I installed a package from a proaudio webpage. (ymp file) Only later found out I could have added the pattern in YAST. When I got it fixed, I was asked to inform you guys. https://forums.opensuse.org/t/trouble-proaudio-repository/178573/5 You may alert the Geek...

Re: Geekos DAW (libre music-making repository for openSUSE)

I had a problem with GeekosDaw, after a fresh install of Tumbleweed.

Gdaw update, did not work.

With the help of the openSUSE forum we found the problem.

The solution was to do

Code: Select all

sudo zypper nr 4 multimedia:proaudio

(nr4 is at my pc the proaudio repository)

It said multimedia_proaudio before.

Re: Geekos DAW (libre music-making repository for openSUSE)

I just did a fresh install of openSUSE Tumbleweed.

Then went to this page: https://geekosdaw.tuxfamily.org/en/

But when I click install a txt file, opens :?

Am I doing something wrong?

LMMS on Ubuntu

I am on the LMMS forums trying to help but since I am on openSUSE, there is not much I can do.

Any LMMS users on Ubuntu here, that might be able to help, and answer some questions. ?

Re: Migrating from windows ... Question 1 of ∞ !!

The only advise I have, is to maybe go dualboot when starting with Linux. Then you will have windows which is familiar to you as an backup os. I am on openSUSE tumbleweed with the Geekos repository added. This repository finetunes opensuse for music production, just like the Kx repositories, for deb...

Re: Video effects controlled by music / tempo?

I wonder if Ducky 3D has removed some of his older tutorial vids. It was his vids mostly that got me started. The thing I do remember, bake sound to F curve, and then you select your song. I lost the blender file, so I cant look it up anymore. Its not something extra you have to download. https://ww...

Re: reverb echo delay ?

This proofs there is a conspiracy against me using Calf plugins. :P

Good to know though.

Now I probably need to add two fills or what ever you call it, to my drum loop.

If I recall the tutorial I am using right, I need two more parts. :)

Re: reverb echo delay ?

Me and Ardour still are no real friends, and I struggled but.... Made a new midi track, picked the right version (multi) of the Red Zeppelin drum kit. Maybe one day I will understand how to copy midi notes from one track to another. But because I have for now max 30 notes, I drew in new notes....

reverb echo delay ?

I am trying to understand the difference between echo, reverb and delay. Do echo plugins exist ? Or is that called delay? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JM3fodiK9rY&ab_channel=LedZeppelin I am hearing an echo, and from what I found online, this track is recorded in a stairway of a mansion. More...

Re: stochas not working

Today the biggest problem LMMS faces is that there are many alternatives even on Linux. They do have one of the best* implementations for automation though, as far as I've seen. Too bad about the lack of plugin support. (If automating supported plugins can be done in the same way as automating thei...

Re: Red Zeppelin Drumkit LV2 in Ardour

Thank you, and I had a look in Ardour.

I picked the wrong one in Ardour. I see two kits in Ardour, when I create a new track and pick the multi one, there is instant fan out already in the option box of the new track. :)

Re: Red Zeppelin Drumkit LV2 in Ardour

I have no idea, even though I had found online there are two versions.

Maybe I need to ask @Kott ?

I asked here:
