This is a really good thread. ... I hope I don't get drowned out ... because I want to hear about and review techniques for mastering an entire album. How do I get a nice and consistent sonic quality across a compilation of songs?

Good stuff! I've been trying out different techniques since I last stopped in. Normally I do go track by track... but I'm mired with being handed an already compressed track that I find ... well... let's just say it has weird levels. Long story short... YES! I finally got LSP plugins loaded:) I had them in their own directory. Once I took them out of the archive folder and rescanned, they appeared in Ardour, Bitwig and Carla:)

Soooo happy! Going to try them out today:)

I tried to install the VST versions but they don't show up in (neither in Ardour). I'm not sure if I'm missing a dependency or not, but I reall...

Hello... I'm having issues with Jamin. It works ... but it's too difficult to work with. I guess it's a hog on system resources and there's a big lag between using the mouse and setting parameters, so I can never tell where it's gonna land. Thank-you for posting this:) You mentioned this is not ideal with Jackdbus. I have UbuntuStudio 14.04 installed, Jackdbus is enabled, and use some of the packages from the KX Repos -- especially Carla. Does this mean I need to reconfigure the system, and if so ... how is that done?

Hello, I'm new on forum, and tried this suggestion. I'd like to know how to use the pactl command -- without hearing the mic. Loopback produced distortion on count of the mic source.
