Glad you got it to work!saturnin51 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 06, 2021 2:48 pmI solved this issue.
You must create a standard midi drum track and link to Jack-midi-n. Then you add the Simpledrum and you can connect the midi track output to Simpledrum. In my case I have to uncheck all the boxes NoteOff ignore.

Re: Problem launching Muse
OK using the keyboard device on a MIDI synth track. Issue with the drum track because the no note off of the drum device. The link is established but after a quick on every pad, no sound either the view-meter volume is reacting at the quick. I edited the instrument and setup no note off with no suc...

Re: MDI setup
But it seems we can use only one MIDI set across all the tracks. Am I wrong ? Ah, I'm slowly beginning to understand. I am not used to working with external gear other than keyboards. Sorry! :) You can only have one MIDI "set" (often called "instrument" by MusE) per DEVICE (the "thing" under the "P...

Re: MDI setup
Ok, let's see if I understand what you want... You have an "Expander", this is a Sound module with GM compatible sounds, right? Typically 16 sounds multitimbral, one sound on each of the 16 midi channels. So you create a Midi track for each sound you want to play with the expander. All Midi tracks s...

No problem!
Often, at least for me, it is those small usability things that saves you so much time. It is good that it is a toggle. For me, I love to have it on!

Re: Problem launching Muse
You don't have to arm for recording, the green circle is enough (Enable input monitoring). But this gets done automatically if you press the red dot (record), so maybe that is what you are thinking of. :) I can add that this is controlled by a setting: Settings > Global Settings > GUI > Monitor on ...

You are looking for Settings > Rewind on stop.

Re: When recording from MIDI input, some notes aren't read fully
If you select File > Export Midi file I can look at the midi data on my setup.
You should also try playing the midi track with another synthesizer. Does the problem persist?
You can also zip the .med file (the song file saved by MusE) and attach it if it is not too big.

Re: Problem launching Muse
MusE only will play inputs from MIDI keyboards when the track is active for recording! If you don't activate the track for recording it won't play sounds via MIDI keyboard. At least that's my experience on MusE. Someone else may proof me wrong. You don't have to arm for recording, the green circle ...

Re: Problem launching Muse
I think you are running a very old QJackCtl (from the Ubuntu 18.04 repos?). Download an AppImage of the latest: https://sourceforge.net/projects/qjackctl/files/latest/download QJackCtl has a button marked Graph. This is what I do to make it work, I use a simple Akai LPK25 with USB-midi. 1. I connect...

Can you add a screengrab of the Graph in QJackCtrl when you have everything plugged in?
